Toronto isn't a bad city!

The other day I was taking to someone on TIG Messenger. (No names mentioned.)They asked me where I lived an I said Toronto. Then they started talking kind of different, and asking about weither all my friends or family member have SARS. Just because Toronto has some traces of SARS doesn't make it a bad city. It is actually a great city, compared to some places. It has many attractions. This is really bad for Toronto. Actually come to think of it every city that has traces of SARS is getting a bad name.
What do you think??

i totally agree with you. Just because there is SARS in a country does not eman that everyone you know has it. There are millions of people in Toronto, the amount of people that has gotten it is in the hundreds.

Ya, I understand your feeling Sukhpreet, when Vietnam was affected, people just like ... oh no, just keep away from them, to prevent is better. WHO has announced Vietnam to be taken out of SARS affected country but foreigner concern is still stinging.
Any way, can understand this, bc it is broken out fast and easily. But the react is stupid.

oh gosh... jsut bcuz toronto has sars it doesnt mean tht toronto is a bad place ( just as jaclyn and suki mentioned). i tihnk that ppls shouldnt be afraid of this sudden occur of sars. neways, sars occur everywhere in the world and it doesnt just mean toronto is the only place that actually has sars. with one kind of disease it makes toronto dangerous? then wat about other countries tht have plenty of other diseases and other natural hazards, then arent those countries and cities more dangerous? i just want to confirm tht toronto isnt a dangerous place to live in.

I agree with you sukhpreet! If SARS was that bad in Toronto then wouldn't everyone in that city have SARS by now? We don't so Toronto is a safe city, its not bad in any way.
