I think society has a herd time telling peoplea bove the age of 18 what they can and can't do. I am opposed t it if it involves unwilling participants but if everyone agrees what can we really do to stop it?

Yes, it is fine if they are above the legal age, and it is their choice to do it, however spy cameras and things like that are definitely NOT good, seeing as the people did not choose to be photographed, unlike others.

I think this discussion could do well to qualify the word "ok". Do we mean 'acceptable at dinner parties' or do we mean 'legal'? Or something else?
In principle, certainly pornography must be protected free expression. That should be our starting point.
There is no clear difference between pornography and erotica. It is a subjective distinction. Some people are sexually aroused by looking at balloons(!).
In practice, in the mainstream of porn since legalization, there is massive exploitation, usually of women by men. (Although let us not forget that gay porn is also a large sub-industry, and the 'kinky' market is larger than ever).
If you actually take a closer look at the whole landscape of porn, especially on the internet, it is a whole lot more diverse. Women are often represented as being 'on top' or 'in charge', for example.
I've also met many women who enjoy porn, in particular hard porn. Here in Denmark it is mostly women that hire porn videos. They're usually in a relationship and using it to 'get the evening going' with their man.
So we mustn't fall completely for the media stereotypes of the lonely, dysfunctional male porn conusmer. Sure, those people exist in some number, but ordinary, well-functioning people in relationships also use porn, often together with their partner.
I think we would get much further in the matter of pornography by fighting exploitation generally, rather than providing our governments with more arguments for censorship. Governments have demonstrated repeatedly that they are not to be trusted with censorship legislation, which is especially problematic when nobody can come up with an unambiguous definition of what pornography really is.
The British government made some efforts to censor the likes of D.H. Lawrence and Marquis De Sade - but only when these books came out in paperback which suggests that the wealthy should be allowed to read dirty books, but the common people should not. (Hardbacks are more expensive).
It is therefore more useful to see this as a class issue (who owns the means of pornography production, and who profits from it), rather than simply about gender (which sex is being photographed, and which sex is looking at the pictures).
Just my take.
I strongly recommend all interested in this issue to read "Bad Girls & Dirty Pictures", published by Feminists Against Censorship in 1993. There are many good points presented there which turn the traditional 'feminist' arguments on their head.

I neither condone or condemn people who are involved in pornography. Sometimes, they have no choice. Most of the time, women and children are abused in this kind of business.
Whether the models are of legal age or not , I dont want to participate in any kind of pornography. I dont want to be a viewer or a passive participant as I feel I offend them and deduce them to a thing that can be bought and played with. If it's their choice to pose their bodies, if they feel they are empowered by doing it, then I have no right to judge them.

i personally think is IMMORAL to be part of the cast, crew or viewers of this kind of production.maybe coming from a background like mine this is a taboo unheard of and demonic.the act of sex is sacred and should be left for marriage(im not a catholic but a christian).i believe the acts are degrading and inhuman.
my question will go to the crew of the production what will be going through thier minds as they shoot such acts.
i find it to be disgusting and i say its not OK not even one bit

i wouldnt want my mum to be a porn star and for that matter, neither will she stand me being one.
i am someone who enjoys healthy pornography.
i dont like women licking toilet seats or doing some derogatory things....
i think pornography, as long as it is healthy, is not as in 'bad'.
it may not be appealing to others, but may do find it tempting and i believe there is nothing wrong in it, provided models are above 18.

wel, i personally believe that pornography is ok.
i totally despise child pornography. i think its sick.
but there are ppl who have fetish for younger boys and girls(as in a pedophile). i dont know what to say to such ppl, coz thier sexual preference is probably innate. i dont have problems with them, but when a porn has an underage kid in it, i just think its disgusting. not sure why but maybe for the same reasons as to why some str8 men find gay sex disgusting.
n to ur question, i think underage child porn star is definately no no no no.......x 10000.
but i think a healthy pornography is good for society.

i think inhuman is way too harsh word to use.
i wont try to justfy or defend pornography, but ppl have fantasies and if pornography helps them see it, then why not.
like one post above says that in denmark, ppl in a realitionship do use poenography just to make thier sex like more exciting.
i think pornography is also a way of discovering what excites u so u and ur partner can have a great and more satisfactory sex life...
