Today Britain's new Foreign Secretary David Miliband has given his first speech outlining the foreign policy challenges facing the Brown government.
He said:
"The US is the world's largest economy," he went on, "engaged - whether on the Middle East peace process or climate change or international development - it has the greatest capacity to do good of any country in the world."
What do you think about this? I especially want to know opnion of the US TIG members.
P.S. full article called "UK needs 'new, engaged' diplomacy" you can find at

Hmmm, those are all very good points actually. I spend my workday observing the world markets and I watch as the US economy slowly gets lower, and lower compared to other large nations.
I hope this doesn't offend anyone, but I was just watching the Daily Show and after showing a mind-numbing piece of the American bureaucratic process, Jon Stewart cracked the joke "...and this is the type of government system which we are trying to export to other countries..."
