Do you think that if a child works so as to support his family in poor countries can be termed as child labour?shocked

The child is still working, so I would say yes, it is child labour.

While the child's goal is indeed nobel, it is still working...and if it is to support a family, implying the child is the main or one of the top financial resources for the family, it is, as you say, child labor, with the connected negative connotation you have given it.

that is a very tough question especially when you are in a developing country like me. ive met and known children who served as the breadwinner of the family sugarcoated by the term "trying to help" their parents.

and i feel pity for this children. one time, there was someone who came into our house and asked for scrap iron. i asked him if why he is working at a very young age, then he answered me becaue they have nothing to eat. further, he told me that he has not even entered the first grade( he's 8 years ld and supposed to be in grade 2) because his parents could not afford to send him to school. i really felt so sad about the child and i wish i can help him in one way or another or other children for that matter.

in this story, i can conclude that no matter how you sugarcoat it, its child labor. poverty is not an excuse to abuse this children who have the right to basic education and enjoy childhood...

but the big question is, what can we do now, and where shall we start?

I think that the child labor issue revolves around "exploitative child labor."
