I believe the Gita is the sacred `song of God' composed about 200 BC and incorporated into the Mahabharata..

To get an idea about Bhagavad Gita (Sanskrit भगवद् गीता) check these translations out ;

for those concerned, what bible is to christanity, gita is to hinduism. its called bhagavad gita.
believing your heart is of core importance to me. i donot need scriptures to tell me wats right and wats wrong. we all believe and agree that there is one god, then how can he communicate to people through a scripture written is a particular language which cannot be understood by all. bible says 1 thing, gita the other. i ve read them both. and i still dont agree to them both. i believe in my heart and not in words limited to scriptures limited to paper. i mean you dnt need to read gita or bible to know that killing is bad. its obvious in ur heart, coz god made it so. so trust ur heart which is in deep love with humanity.
