CAN AFRICA ACHIEVE THE MDG'S IF......

All over the world, peolpe talks about the role of the youth in achieving the MDG's. is good though I have personal observation on that, may be some body can help me.
If we can take look at the very people who deal direct with the people living in the community (assemblymembers) most of them do not no of the MDG's and the country policy. The role that these people can play in achieveing it at the grass root level is not being address and discuss . yet the youth are expected to work hand in hand with this people to achieve MDG's by 2015 how can that be possible.
therefore is that really the case that most African countries can achieve the MDG's not by figures but practical view relief of poor people, knowledge based should be seen, evironmental issues are clear, child motality is clean and clear in trading between Africa, Asia, Europ, Ameica
Please clear my mind.

MDG'S is a good and bold step in a very clear direction, however not just Africa, but the 3rd world nations.
The time is short and its not question of percentage, we are talking about PRATICAL TERMS.
2015 is not feasible.

here i'd like to add that this issue of youth working with the government to help achieve the MDGs by 2015 is not only faced by Africa or third-world nations, but in fact all over the world where affluence is rising but governments (and by logical connection, youth) do not have citizen support (or pressure) of the working class to do their part in pushing for the success of the MDGs. admittedly though, the developing nations are under great pressure and it is up to the rest of the world to rise to the challenge of lending aid where it is needed. while the people who have most influence over how things work at grassroot levels are not aware, it is up to the youth in that community (and of course, to the rest of the global village of Concerned Citizens) to bring awareness of the MDGs to the people who have the power to influence and rally for government support. it is because the burden lies on the youth who are aware /"empowered" that networks and platforms such as TiG are important and useful.
