Whats the war in iraq about

Is the war in iraq really about terrorism???
i dont think so.
i think its high time americans face some facts:
which country in the world has the deadliest and most dangerous Weapons Of Mass Destruction? Clearly, america.
Which is the only country in the world which has its intelligence network creating havoc in other countries?
CIA is the creator of taleiban. The only weapons taleiban fighters had were american made.
AND also the created ISI (pakistani intelligence organisation which is responsible for all the terrorism in kashmir)
Which is the only country in the world which has ever used its WMDs?
America used its nuclear bomb against japan in WW2.
Which is the only country, in the history of this world, benifitted from wars?
America. Had ther been no world wars, america would never be a super power. It was a tribal place before that. the only two things which helped america develop were that they had almost free labour available (slaves from africa) and that wars were never fought on its territory although it was suppling weapons to both, england and germany during both the world wars.
so, america is also a terrorist nation. but can you do something about it.
Even now, this war on iraq seems more like a corporate aggressive planning. Idont think saddam has done something so bad lately. And there are bigger issues to handle than saddam like palestine and kashmir. Iraq was not an emergency.
Actually, i thnk its a war for oil or revenge. someone just told me the other day that bush's father was the head of cia and saddam had threatened to kill him. so, could be a revenge also.
all the contracts for rebuilding iraq are going to go to all major american / british companies. so, the people who fund Bush's election campaign are going to benifit (payback time) also, america is going to get iraqui oil for almost free for atleast another decade. alrite they are spending millions on this war, but surely enough, the returns outweigh the expenses. Americans can enjoy cheaper fuel for a long time now.
Another war for benifit of american people.
i wish india had supported this war. maybe even we could have benifitted. when you cant beat 'em, join 'em(i wish we had better politicians).
afterall, what did we do. we couldnt stop the war. nor did we really try. On the other hand, pakistan even though was a muslim country supported the war and got lots of economic aid. something we missed out. also our major import is petrol. if we had supported the war, maybe we could reduce our 'oil pool deficit' a lot.
and by no means is saddam such a nice person. so, i dont think it would be sooo morally wrong to just say 'yes we support the war'. we didnt have to send our troops or weapons. just say we support thats all.
i wish we had better and more intelligent politicians in india.

The War on Terrorism

Much of this discussion could be solved by just opening a couple of history books, but to refresh your memory:
*Russia, China, and many other nations have WMDs.
*At the time of their founding, both the Taliban and the ISI did not engage in terrorist activities. Many other nations participated in their creations as well.
*WMD's are not just nuclear weapons. They also include biological and chemical weapons, which numerous countries have used. Their is also proof that Saddam had WMDs before the US liberation.
*Throughout the centuries, there have been thousands of civilizations that have benefited from war. It is our job to find a better way for countries to benefit.
*Saddam has killed hundreds, some say thousands of his own people through a variety of torturous ways.
That is just the beginning.

To add:
* During war, the tragedies that occur are the unfortunate consequences of engaging in battle. The victor is usually the strongest power, but there is saddness and pain all around. The ICC's power is designed to be used in cases relating to innocent people being tortured and murdered. United States military abuses are tried within very strick military trials.
*I do agree that the conditions at Quantanamo Bay are unacceptable, however, the teenagers being detained there are of legal age in some countries, and did fire at coalition forces; therefore they are being detained with just cause. Saddam 'recruited' many child soldiers, who fought and killed like any other adult, but who should have been protected from such abuse. This presents a difficult situation, since many of the children killed others. This condition will end, now that Iraq has been liberated.
*Tommy Franks did not commit war crimes in Iraq. If you will compare the acts of the coalition to the acts of another nations in different wars, you would find that this coalition force is the most humane.

Hmm... you understand it better than me Vivek. It was difficult to fathom why Australia's leading party so doggedly stuck to supporting this war.
Well, now our petrol prices have gone down by 20 cents a litre, so I understand...
But what do we really prefer in the end: morally upright and ethical leaders who have a social conscience...? Or are we happy to settle for ones who will simply take the attitude of let's put Australia/US/UK first and screw everyone else so we can save AU$4 a week running our cars?

The US is the only country in the world not to recognize the international criminal court(ICC) by not letting its soldiers quilty of war crimes to be tried in the ICC.
And how about QUANTANAMO? Where POWs are held and are treated in humanly. A few days ago,I heard that even three teenagers are amomgst the ones held in Quantanamo.
And lets not go far,and wait what happenns to the case against Tommy franks that has been put forward by a Belgiek Lawyer ,accusing him of war crimes .that he openly commited but will there be a power that can take TOMMY FRANKS to the courts??????? Wait and hope there is one

I feel that the War on Iraq is on fighting to free the world of terrorists. However it is hard to believe that one of the worlds most wealthiest countries isn't there to get oil that is not available in their own country.
