Women contain much more than some men often choose to see them. A woman is born equal in all, she might not have the physic like a man, that does not in any way make her a 'lesser' human being than a man.. I admire women who grow above male chauvinism and stand out at the frontline as world leaders, setting the pace for their folk.
Women should participate at the decision making table, they should marry their house hold duties to frontline office work as men do.
Unfortunately in Africa, the whole concept of women's emancipation is so misconstrued even by women themselves , this accounts for the reason why for example you find women who use the opportunity of the World Women's day to indulge in excessive alcohol consumption in pubs and wanton sex in brothels often with different men other than their husbands.
Some think their husbands should coock, clean the children and do all of the houshold work that day because as they put it "Its our day, I will be up and my husband down" - What a shame to such women. You husband is your husband, you should strive to work together and not look for payback opportunities
I love to see women who spend this day with their husbands, reminding them that women too can be capable and loving people often more than the men.
My five fingers up for women of quintessence
Gracias

women rock and they should be able to do anything a man should, a woman can be amazing in power, organization, structure, poise and much more. we should at least have an equal oppurtunity to show what we've got!!

It might be true. Women should start learning how to promote each other from a tender age. In most African countries, women are failing in politics because they are being pulled down by fellow women. The other thing is that most women take gender equality as a fight against men. Consequently, instead of targeting success in politics, they target shooting down men! So, if such things were adopted from a tender age, surely it would work!

I think if you want to empower women, then you have to start when they are girls. You have to change the way they are socialized so that you don't always have girls fetching water and not in school. I think that change must happen from both ends: from the bottom up and from the top down. Multilateral organizations and NGOs can advocate for institutional changes such as quotas for the legislature. However, without a change in social norms and access to education and career opportunities, there won't be enough qualified women to fill the roles. I think that the end goal isn't simply greater representation of women in politics. The end goal should be more qualified women in politics. You want them to be invested and educated leaders and not simply placeholders.

empowering women goes in hand with the overall country development.
for LDCs and DCs we really need to work on this especially focusing on women capacity building because if we want them to act as men they should have all necessary tools and eduction is the first valuable one.

Women should be in every way be involved in politics. In order for women to be involved, young girls should be educated about politics from a young age and be pushed by their teachers to engage in the world around them. I notice that many teachers don't push their students in engaging in the world around them, but just teach them and expect them to learn for themselves. Than there are those other teachers who push there students to be part of the world around them. I believe that if there was more supportive teachers that made their students become part of the world, we would have many young women involved in politics. Education is the way to go.

I'm totally disagree with women empowerment especially for political, because, as we all aware of, they're in a great role for the society which is production of basic blocks of the society due to that we could not find out such populations, so if we focus on women empowerment for politics, we’re killing the upcoming generation who will later on displaced us in the manpower and as well as the in political leadership. Those support to empower women in political, just give us a satisfactory return of their claims.
Thanks

Do you ready to eradicate our existance in the world?
Now world turning into women’s leadership era, the vast majority of every nation is women, we can say now every nation women can range 65 %, I have interviewed some of my close friends telling me girls are more than boys. Don’t go anywhere, just let myself take for example, I have truly nine sisters and four brothers, mainly women are more than man in this world. As Muslim, our prophet Mohammed peace of Allah be upon him told us women will increase at the doomsday and it will a time that a man can have forty women we are now it that time our prophet pointed out. So man and women are not same in any way, in terms of their physical appearance, power and even persistence. Each one could complement the other one. It is better to educate women that are productive advantage, women are source of the world, lack of them, and we were not in this world. So those trying to busy women on political I can say them you are losing their role in the society, if women busy with political and make more lobby. They simply can not handle to produce more generation in this world. So majority women who look forward to be politician give up birth. The bring population decline, we see many indigenous western white man became minority in his country. Therefore those are going to happen this social tragedy must encourage their women on political participation.
Eid

I believe that its only motherly love that never ceases. For me in order for women to be allround in politics, we need to identify their potential,we also identify their needs,we nurture them through sharing of responsibilities and on decision making. We also need to support them on issue of ownership that is they start a common interest groups,They start to save the little they have, then manage themselves in order to be accountable and then we top up the little they have accumulated. This will replicate to other part and on long run they will be heard.
At the end of it their voice will be heard and definately get backing from men.
I have been empowering women on the issue of ownership and creating them to be leaders and i believe they will be able to go for it-representatives ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No one is harassing on women. Countries have different cultures when it comes on how they treat women. We as Somali put the women on our heads. Women are under the highest protection no one could dare to harm them since they are the foundation of the society. It is surrounding them their fathers, brothers, sons, uncles, etc. As an Islam, women are the first class. But, there is a job division responsibility that is very vital, women are the minister of the family and the men are the president or prime minister of the family. On public this responsibility still exists. So if you change these roles, destruction will be starting as available many countries in the world.
Thank you,
Mohamed Eid,

IMO, it is time to move on. Yes - a lot of men still think women are inferior, but I think that the way the media now try to portray the independence, the "modern woman" hand-in-hand with consumerism will not really help this mean accept equality.
If we victimize women everywhere, how are we empowering them?
I think real empowerment of women needs preparation in both genders, but it most be focused on the woman and not in her victimization for the eyes of men.
