No matter what mentions in legal documents, what are women's rights in your view, and which kinds of inequality that women are suffer from in daily life?

One of the resons for the establishment of the women's movement is the intense discrimination that women have been subjected to in the past years. Women have been seen as mere homemakers and nothing less. Although their importance in this task was acknowledged, they were however limited to only that.
Things have changed since the women's movement has been established in various places all over the world. I think the bigger challenge for women now is their clamor for equal treatment with those of the opposite sex.

Women have always been treated as under-human by men in quite all civilisations.
Men put their "dignity" in their women, that is why women had to do what men wanted : respect familly, have children, and live all their live as a mother, a wife, and not a woman...
I think there is 2 problems for the women's rights application :
- MEN : they don't want to lose control of women.
If women are free to think, to act, men would have to compose with them, to listen them. They would not be abble to apply what they want to do of their wife, daughter, mother...for example marry them with somebody for their own profit or mistreated them...or avoir to let them going to school and study to go out from ignorance and dependance!
Men are feared by women, by their spirit and their body! Because finally men are dependants of women, they can't live without a wife...so they prefer having the power on her so they can do what they want, as they want, without problem.
- WOMEN : old women who suffered of men, and who learned from their mother that men are as powerful as a God on the hearth. They think men are people women have to respect more than their life, people who have all the power on her...
These women are terrible because they are ignorant and keep young girl in this ignorance and try to keep them in "traditions", even if they are bad! Because they don't want changement and there is a little of "jealousy" : "why this girl would have more rights than me?"...
I think women should have the riight to go to same schools as boys and study at university! It is the first step for women to start having control of their life. Then, they should have same rights as boys to go out of home, to travel, to see people, to have fun, to drive a car, to chose their husband etc...they should be recognized as equal as men at work.

You know, I work with girls in Tunisia. Some are 25. They stopped school at the age of 12 because their father decided that! why? "because to go to school, they have to take the bus, and men can see girls!!"
It is really irritating to see things like that!
Same girls don't have right to make parties because they dance and sing!
"Oh it is bad, you are dancing, you are laughing! My God it is horrible, you are dishonouring your father and all your familly!!" said some old women to their daughters when I organized party with all girls who work with me in our organisation in Tunisia to thanks them for their help...
But I am happy because I changed a little the game at the place I work in Tunisia. It is a land, not a city, that is why there is this problem...but if you see laws in Tunisia, women have more rights than men!!! especially at work, they can work less for the same salary, to see their children! Really good I think.
Men overthere, in the land I work, see I am a girl who study and I respect traditions. However I am free and don't wait for anybody to give me orders!! And after a lot of problems, for me and for these girls, they let us do. Do what? Have a little of fun sometimes making birthday parties with only girls to respect traditions and to have more fun, to be more free of working to developpe their land by teaching children, using NTIC and keep a big librairy...
If women take their rights, you will see how our planet will change for good...
I have seen it in Tunisia : If it was not girls, who fight to get a little more of liberty to help us, we would never be abble to do anything. Because men don't care...

Women suffer from inequalities such as lack of education, employment opportunities, leadership opportunities and lack of justice against violence from men:any form of violence.

Well in countries like afghanistan, Pakistan, and some other women's are not given their rights, not in a sense to give them the freedom to go outside alone where ever they want, or to go to parties and do immoral act as its hapeneing in the West, which is forbidden in islam,, but here i have seen many people who dont behave their wives in a much better way,, for example they are strict with them and dont give their wives much attention,, whcih is also forbidden in Islam. Islam teaches us to behave women in a much better and respectful way,,
On my opinion women should be respected, men should care their feelings, not to act in a cheap way,,& to behave them in a good manner,, and consider them the real builder of society,, One thing i will appreciate about Religion Islam that in islam home is considered the best place for woman after marriage,, becuase its the duty of man to work and get money for his family, its the duty of man to provide all basic necessities to his wife and children needs. Women is just like a queen of her home, so then no need for her to do work,, she have to look after her children and her self.
Another thing i would like to tell u is that women or females have really great respect in this world , if they try to attain this,, by not leting themselves to become the unvaluable thing of the society,, they should be careful while dealing with men, and should not loose thier concious very soon, I hope my you guys wil not mind what i have said,,plz have a positive vision,Best of Luck, we love you, we Respect You..

We've come from an age where woman had no rights & had no say either but as the world evolves & so do people's way of thinking.
We have been prejudiced against, our ideas have been shot down.
We've asked politely to be respected & those with high morals respect us but those that choose not to will soon change their minds because women are strong, powerful & determined to be heard.
I won't say that everyone in South Africa respects women but we share equal rights with men.

Women's right is to respect to women and do not abuse their rights of dignity, health, humanity, and independance.

Women's rights are also about removing the discriminations.

Sarah,
I believe the situation has much changed these days.
In many countries, men respect women. Of course I know still there are many men whoi think down of women, but the thoughts of many of the men have changed. Don't you think so?
BEsts,
Mostafa

There should be equal access to education and life opportunities for both men and women.

Hi,
You're right. As a Muslim, I know that my religion always wants the respect to rights of all human beings.
There are many points in Islam asking men to respect their wives kindly and respect to tgheir rights.

Women are discriminated by each and every religious epic. In my opinion they are the root cause for discrimination and exclusion.
