Creating a voice in Ottawa recognizing the plight of the people of the world!

Hi,
I live in Ottawa and I am looking for individuals who are interested in International Development and are strong supporters of the MDG's to help me start a group based here in Ottawa, that will focus primarily in fundraising for the millennium development goals targeting in the ending of extreme global poverty and HIV/AIDS. The individuals have to be independent, hard working, and want to make a difference! It's time for Ottawa to join in the fight for equality in all areas of life!!!
I hope there will be an interest in what I am proposing, and I look forward to hear responses 
I would love to start this group this summer...since school has just ended (well for those who go to university or collage)

Unfortunately, I was thinking more about organizing events here in Ottawa, and sending the funds we raised to Africa - and as a consequence I am currently not thinking of starting any International fundraising activities yet.
