Canada should sell their water to other countries

We should sell our water because in the future countries we don't sell water to might take that as an excuse to start war. If we do sell our water we would have more money flowing through the economy.
Canada sells bottled water to other countries but doesn't sell bulk shipments of water. Every year a large amount of people in developing countries die because of water related problems. If we sell our water to them there wouldn't be as many deaths and we would have more money for the country.

I disagree with Kajathas's point,i don't know how come war is in this. We, the Canadians have the right to come to a decision if we want to sell our water or not. After all, the water is in our country and we certainly have control over it.
We are already selling our water to the U.S. , so you can't say that we are not trying to help other countries.

I agree with Kajathas that not selling water will cause conflict between nations. This doesnt relate to the war between USA and Iraq.
This will also cause conflicts in Canada. Mostly everyone in Canada has immigrated from a different country. They might even have family members living in countries that are running out of water. Which will cause them to argue against the government. Canada has always been considered a peaceful and giving country to other countries. As well as the fact that Canada also buy un-renewable resourses from other countries, like oil. If we don't sell our water they might not sell their resourses either.
And Arren, if everyone knows (including Canadians) that only 9% of Canada's 20 percent is un-renewable, then how come everyone still continues to waste it?
Its not as if we Canadians protect and use our water very carefully. Just because we have so much water we think that we think that we can use as much as we want. (We being Canadians.) Well what about all those people who are going short of water

I don't think Canadians are wasting the water. If we are, then we would be having water shortages. After all, the water just keep coming back because of something call "WATER CYCLE".

Hassan, you think water is a renewable source and you can sell it if you want. Many factors like pollution are affecting our water thus making it a depleting resource. In the future water will be the most wanted resource. If Canada sells their water, we might suffer shortages. You stated that people in developing countries are dying to due to water related issues, and you said that Canada should sell their water to those developing countries. DEVELOPING COUNTRIES can't afford to buy the water that Canada would sell to them because they suffer from poverty.

I strongly agree with you because if we don't sell our water more people will become sick, and other countries will start to hate us , and it will be an exuse for war later on. We don't need any more war because there is already war between Iraq and America. It's a good thing to help other countries that are in need of help and in need of our water supply.I also agree that our country will have more money.

Sunny, you said so yourself, only 9% of water is renewable. So if we sell the water, then there will be even less water for us( the Canadians).

How are Canadains not wasting water. They are the biggest cunsumers in the world. They use more water to bath, drink, wash their dishes and more. And if their is a so called 'WATER CYCLE' keeps bringing water over and over again it would mean that all the water is renewable.

okay, first of all, drinking water is NOT wasting water!!! If you don't drink water, how can you survive?
Same with taking a shower, enjoying a warm and relaxing shower could reduce stress.
Some of the percipitation goes to other countries, we don't get all the water back from percipitation.

canada shouldn't sell its water

i don't think that Canada should sell its water because first of all its said that we will have some water shortages in 2050 and if we sell our water now we won't have enough for ourselves. Even though water is renewable it takes a bit of time for it to come back and till then some of the animals could die... and there would be no reason to start a war.... i think couuntries would be smart enough to know that Canada cared about it's own people and saved water for the future. Canada as a country is strong enought to make an intelligent decision.
