Think before you act !!!!!!!!!!
April 9, 2003 - 08:31 AM

I think that people should not discriminate others for any reason because of there apperance, personality or the way they act.

Please tell me what you think about this topic and explain what can be the wirst discrimanation that can happen to others?

Discrimation for any reasonal should be totally stop in our community in order to grow beyond doubt. We should alway think (see result of doing at foresight) before acting.

It's funny that you should say this, seeing as you said in another thread that homosexuals should not be allowed to adopt children. That's discrimination right there.

Anyway discrimination sucks. Nobody has the right to judge others without getting to know them first. I don't know what the worst discrimination would be. Any immediate judgement seems just as bad as the next.

I say just take a bunch of anthropology courses or read anthropology books. You will find why not to discriminated on a cultural, material, and biological sence.

I always neglect the idea that there are actually people out there that promote discrimination. I live in a small town where there's not much diversity so I rarely experience any sort of discrimination.

But when you bring up personality and the way a person acts, people just have natural preferences. It's not that they are being prejudice, but that they perhaps do not care for another individual's personality or the way that person conducts their life.

For example, if I were to choose who to let in to my party, I would have preferences. I might decide there will be nobody who is gothic or preppy, obnoxious or annoying, or people who engage in self-destructive behaviors. If that is discrimination against someone's appearance, personality, or the way they act, then so be it.

Not everyone's definition of discrimination is the same.

I think that if you are knowingly hurting someone mentally or physically, then that can be considered discrimination.
A lot of times it's just categorizing for your own ease. (Nearly everyone cringes at the thought of Satanism.)

And then there are times when discrimination happens unknowingly. A good example of that is when a bunch of people gather together at work and start talking in a dialect that is familiar to them all and there's a person standing close by who doesn't understand it. He/she could feel discriminated against, but it's not that the group committed an act of deliberation.
