I think the reason why there was slavery is because,Gold, when gold was converted to money the Europiens became greedy for money abd they didnt want ot work for it so they started bmakeing slave ships and terring people from their familys and and made them work night and day to please the white man and make more profite for the whiote man i thnink thats why their was slavery.
Basicaly slavery was made because some people were lazy and also greedy.
