Google Earth mapping Crisis in Darfur
April 11, 2007 - 01:47 AM

I noticed today Google Earth added a map dataset showing the crisis in Darfur. It includes icons showing locations of destroyed villages and displacement camps.

I wrote about this on my blog

It's ironic that we can view such inhumanity from afar and the people we are looking down upon probably have never seen a computer or electricity!

I think this is a perfect example of how technology can generate awareness and hopefully results. Read the article to get my full drift on the situation and post your thoughts here.
