Cultural issues. In Africa we have this thing for the less priviledged brother and sisters,
The cultural thing has made it a crime for someone to be poor and have peace in the system.
Education is very important to shift this trend. And we have to start from the villages then walk up to the towns, cities, states etc.

One of the things too after listening to a news report on public television is that children are also leaving the classroom because of work related chors and aides. The family has no stability

Do you think it's useful for people from other countries to travel to Africa to help teach or educate children, or is that an imposition?

yes u are right.its very difficult yet nothing is impossible.first of all govt must support free education and international funding must be there. Then with education mid day meals must also be provided free of cost.this will bring young childern to schools as they will get food.elder kids in higher calsses can be given vocational training along with regular education to get jobs or start something small. for this micro finance must be there (soemthing like grameen bank of bangladesh ,sksmicrofinance, india)
Schools in evening can double up as centres to provide education to adults, impart health and basic medical care to women ,or run vocational courses for girls.all this needs funding ,volunteers and training modules.needs lot of palnning taking cultural fcators into account.

I think we should educate Orphans and the less priviledged because they should be able to get the same oppertunity as the rest of us. It is not there fault that they are an Orphan or under privliledged so the least that we can do is help them turn there life around by helping the go to school so they can make something of themselves.

I think the provision of free primary education as was done in Kenya is a major step towards ensuring thatr orphans access education. Also the current developments in the education sector on secondary education is a great step towards addressing the education needs of the minority kids.Other african counrties can follow this example.
