Murders in Ciudad Juarez
April 6, 2007 - 07:46 AM

This is a famous case in Mexico and Guatemala. It's been ten years since the murders of young women began and there aren't still any person punished for this. This case is also very relevant because justice has been especially slow in solving the murders and in recognizing that this is a case of gender violence since not all the victims were sexually abused.

The murders were especially cruel and the victims were members of poor families and the victims used to work in maquilas, the factories founded by multinational corporations.

I still think this is gender violence. What do you think?secretive
