When liberty becomes a contradiction

Ever since President George W. Bush said he would go to war with Irak and forget what UN says (well not in those exact same words) I've been thinking oh so hard on what are the real reasons for the Bush administration to go to war.
The coalition says it's to free the Iraqi's...others say it's just one more step in the american imperialism agenda. In my opinion it's neither. It's obviuos the Bush administration is after Iraq's oil, and well maybe even Bush is after Saddam. But to liberate Iraq's people? To grant them the liberties american's have? That is a contradiction. How can you grant them liberties when you bomb them? When you impose force over peace. And why if you wanted to free them so badly did you wait so much time?
I understand there are times when the people of a country cannot speak up for themselves and need the aid of the international community, but this time they went to far, stepping over the UN charter and the UN security council resolutions.
I really hope that out of this war comes something good becuase I know that Saddam isn't a saint and he does deserve to be removed. But I would have hoped there would have been a peaceful way to acchieve it. We can't let any more wars happen, we have to do something.

is this war really for liberty? - i don´t think so ...
i my opinion this is just rhetorics to justify the war since a great number of people are against it, also in the usa.
if it were to bring liberty why do they even "seduce" media to bring heroic stories and keep critics out? well, i think one better ask noam chomsky or michael moore what is (and was) going on on liberty - especially liberty of truth - nowadays ...
i won´t let me catch by nice words or targets, i still see that there are people who are trying to either increase or decrease liberty ... on both sides.
peace!

The entire invasion of the middle east is all about Power and Money.
Before Bush became president Cheney cowrote a document in his Project for the New American Century that we need an event like Pearl Harbor to enable the Government to invade the middle east.
If you go to the Project for the New American Century you can read that their only perpose is to increase American Military power around the world. Dick Chaney founded the organization.
He wrote about increasing military spending and War in Iraq before Bush was even President.
I find it quite funny how a man who founded an organization who's sole purpose is to Increase military power is now America's Vice President.
