because they can -
not to be crass - I don't cheat, I've gone years with one woman - but I have been with plenty of girls who were lying to their boyfriends -
usually they do it because there is an opportuinty and they beleive themselves to be in a situation where their boyfriend will never know.
especially traveling, cruises - things like that - alot of them rationalize it with something like "I'm in a different country so it doesn't count"
even more - usually they get away with it - so people who do it sometimes do it alot.

People cheat on their loved ones for a number of reasons..Boredom or spicing up their life..revenge..or just for the fun of it..
Sometimes..it's just a risk people like to take..knowing whether or not they will be caught out..
But whatever the reason..they can't think much of their 'so called loved ones' if they do go ahead and cheat..
