To some extent yes, if we're talking global communication with electronics. But in a crazy way, it's stealing the very basic form of communication at home and in the community, at a price. We tend to spend more time communicating with people on the internet, telephone, mobile phone, etc, and limit the good old talk at home with our children and family to meal times. I am not saying this happens globally, but it's definitely happening in my country.

It's definitely happening here in Sweden as well... Technology is good in the sense that we can learn more about people in other countries and keep in touch with people far away, but it does limit communication in other ways - like you talk to your neighbour on msn instead of going over to talk to them. That's kind of sad. I think as with everything, technology needs to be handled wisely.

now with advancement of technology phone communication has increased.but it has decreased direct human contact.we do a lot of our tasks like banking, chatting(via sms nad online),
social networking(orkut etc.),
reservations, paying bills online.Similarly letters and cards have been replace dby email and ecards, telegrams by sms and mms.we now have a lot of virtual freinds and we also involve in virtual/online games then physical games.it has broken the geographical boundries ,made spread of news faster but the personal human touch has reduced.

communication got a massive revolution in the last 10 years i mean comon now i can do international calls from my cell phone to call anywhere in the globe whenever i wanted 10 years before wasnt even possible smile
about direct contact being minimized i agree but look to it from another point
would you really want to wait in a queue in a bank for 2 hours just to get your check or stay in for 4 hours to pay your bills confused
the simple idea of waitin when it gets to your head make you sad so imagine when you wait all that time for real
add to that after 3 hours the employees themselves get borred and they will be waiting for one mistake from anyone to explode so yeah this is wayyy better big grin
god bless communication :P

Of course technology has played an important role in the communication field! Because of technology we have phones, computers, and airplanes, we're able to talk to people all over the world. Without it TIG would not exist.
