Slavery

Think about this.
Slavery was abolished in 1865, but it is still happening in the world today.
Why does slavery still exist today?
Most people in the world want to get rid of slavery, because it involves racisim. But then again, there are people in Africa with black slaves and black master. Then, I have another question.
What exactly does slavery involve?
Please help me by answering these questions. Thank you.

Well think slavery still exists becuse people are lazy and inconsiderate.They don't want to do things their selves so they get people who are different to do it for them.And people just get kicks out of making people feel bad or watching people get hurt. I think this is wrong but especially when children are slaves.They still have a whole life to live ahead of them.

Slavery doesn't depend just on racism, it also contain classism. Depending on how rich/poor you are. Those rich people simply think that their money can "buy" anything, even people's freedom and rights. And these poor people have no choice, if you want to have your and your family's stomach fed, they have to work for the rich people with little or no salary. It you are poor, you have no choice. If you just hate this system/cyle so much that you don't want to do it, than your whole family are going to be hungery, cold and unhealthy. You have to do want you have to do.

I personally think that slavery is when a horrible person thinks that becasue they have power, they can force people to do what they want. I totally think that it's wrong!

Slavery is cruel. I think slavery exists because people think they're better than other people people and no-one can match up to them. There are also cases where people think they're race is more suprior than anyone else's. Some slave masters just have slaves so they do all they're work and the slave masters can just watch. FREEDOM is not a privilege but a right every living thing should have.

Thanks, everyone for all your opinions. I personally think slavery is a inhumane thing to do. No one deserves to be treated as a slave, not even the meanest person on earth.
Slavery still exist today, because of someone's cruel past, present, or their heart.
Somepeople may think that because they were enslaved, it gives them the right to enslave someone else. It just doesn't! No one should have the right to 'own' someone. Nobody is 'owned by others. We should all own ourselves only, no more and no less.
Somepeople may have a cruel present, such as being born as a slave or being born poor. As a slave, people would grow more and more desperate to be free. Once they are free, they would feel that they had to give someone the taste of their own medicine. So, the freed slaves would enslave others to make them feel what slavery felt like.
Some people just have a cruel heart and they just like the fact that they are hurting others. That is the real cruelty of slavery. Slavery is not really based on the fact that someone's imprisoned by another person, but the fact that the 'owner' is the person who's hurt the most. That is probably why they enslaved someone in the first place.
If you suffered slavery, you would know that it would be hardest thing in life. You would never make anyone else to be a slave. You would know how much you suffered and how sad and hard it is. So, even if someone is the most evil person, they don't even deserves to be treated as a slave.
People usually think that slavery depends on racism, but it doesn't only depend on it. It also depend on classism, how rich or poor someone is, dominant cultures, how much power does a group have, and more. Somepeople might think they have more power or money than others, so it gives them the right to enslave people.
Anyone enslaving others are wrong and it doesn't matter how rich or powerful they are, because no one can be 'owned' by anybody, but themselves.

Slavery is wrong because instead of treating them well and caring, they are whipping and whipping. I think they never seen the sunlight. Only dust and darkness. Well, Canadiens are helpful. They atleast save them and release them in Canada.

Slavery is very horrible. Slave owners who own slaves must be very rich. Slave owners who doesn't care about the slaves. They only cares about their family, themselves, and the money they are getting from the slaves work. Slave owners who bought or traded lots of slaves. Slave owners who whip their slaves. Slave owners who give them little food. It is not fair. What if you are a slaves and getting whip all the time. You have this scars and bruises. THey only gave you little food. Imagine. What would you feel? Pain and anger. Slavery is bad! Bad!
