Water!

We can use these large bodies of water :
-electricity
-drinking
-washing
Yes, I do think that other countries in the world have fresh water resources available to them for the same purposes but not as much.
I think not much other fresh water systems are comparable in size. We can manage our fresh water resources by filtering water that's used. Reuse the water we waste everyday. We can get some salty sea water, put in in the sun. I think other countries try to save water by doing this too. Or they can use those tooth shaped sculptures to filter water. Toronto is located in the Great Lakes watershed area and it's a big city. I don't think that the land surrounding the lakes/rivers are well managed because if they really are, there aren't supposed to be so many pollutions in the lakes.

Msg to Mr.Adams: I no ur reading this rit now but I just want u ta no dat I typed this at lunch time just to get this done. I don't have the sheet here and not enough time so I'm just getting information about freshwater.
Some parts are copied from the internet (for now). No time.
Water is the most important thing in the world. No one can live without water. So people! Think about it. How CAN we save the water? One thing is to use less water. Another thing is to filter water like I mentioned before. Some manufactors of system/filter are: Aqua-Pure,Hydrotech Premier Water Systems,AQUAWizard International Water Warehouse, Rainshow'r,Arrowhead Puritap, and lots more. Number of pollutants the Environmental Protection Agency has found in U.S. drinking water: 700 (1)

Number of states where pesticides are showing up in groundwater due to agricultural methods: 23 (2)

There is the same amount of water on Earth as there was when the Earth was formed. The water from your faucet could contain molecules that dinosaurs drank. (1)

Nearly 97% of the world's water is salty or otherwise undrinkable. Another 2% is locked in ice caps and glaciers. That leaves just 1% for all of humanity's needs: all its agricultural, residential, manufacturing, community, and personal needs. (1)

A person can live about a month without food, but only about a week without water. (1)

The average total home water use for each person in the U.S. is about 50 gallons a day. (1)

A dripping faucet can waste up to 2,000 gallons/7,600 liters of water a year. A leaky toilet can waste as much as 200 gallons/260 liters of water a day. (1)

After Thanksgiving dinner 1999, 16.4 million Americans will watch football. At halftime they will flush 16.4 million toilets and use 48.5 million gallons of water. Water efficient toilets would save us 22.3 million gallons of water. That's the same amount of water needed to fill 1,476 backyard swimming pools. (3)

Under stand why water's used that much, why water's polluted, and how they are used?

Some other big cities surrounding the great lakees are: Chicago, Detroit, London, Ottowa, Sault Ste.Marie, and Toronto.

They support an abundance of animal life, including large numbers of endemic and threatened species. All around the world, lakes face similar management challenges. They are suffering from the loss of biodiversity, pollution, invasion of alien species, decline in water levels as well as other problems stemming from competing resource uses such as hydroelectric power and wastewater disposal.

River Systems: The watershed of the Danube River system extends across the whole of eastern and central Europe. It is important to monitor and improve the health of this great river so that it will be safe for wildlife, including aquatic wildlife. Some other fresh water systems include: Lake Hopatcong, Weequahic Lake, Great Lakes Initiatives, Lake Champlain, Onondaga Lake, and lots more.

Lakes:

Lakes are large bodies (i.e. greater than 20 acres) of inland water. Lakes are an essential source of water in the United States. The Great Lakes hold about 20% of the world's fresh surface water supply and 90% of the United States supply. Most of our drinking water, as well as water used for irrigation, industry, and hydropower, comes from freshwater lakes and reservoirs. In addition to these uses, freshwater lakes also provide a resource for recreational activities (boating, swimming, fishing) and habitats for wildlife. [Note: These bodies of water can be composed of either fresh or salt water (e.g. Utah's Great Salt Lake).]
