Water might not seem lyk a big deal cuz it comes out of our tap whenever we want to. but it wut happens when that doznt happen? we wil have to buy water!! datz such a waste of money when we could b spendin on other things instead of on sumthin that can and SHOULD b free! so if we want 2 keep water free, we gotta work 4 clean water areas!

I agree with that statement, i am studying the need for water and how it affects civilization. Water is definitely crucial and we must act to prevent water depletion.

I agree, without water we would be nothing. WE wouldnt be able to live and we would never have any of the things we use every day.

eventhough we do have the conveinence of tap water and other pluming, the world's water supply will eventually start to dwindle. this means that people should start conserving water

i agree, without water we not only will it affect our thirst, but we will no longer be able to feed crops, or do simple tasks such as washing our hands. however, we if the day comes where we cannot get water from our taps, we can do what i have which is that i have an underground well in my backyard that traps rainwater, then filters it.

Yes, I agree. Without water, we humans would have no way to live or survuve. Not only would we not have water to drink but there would also be no crops, or any other living things. Thus, we humans (and every other species on earth) rely on water as a key element to our survival, and it is very important for us to preserve it and keep in clean and unpolluted.

70% of the planet is water. We aren't going to be running out. Where's the crisis?

7/10ths of the planet is water, and its a renewable resource, I fail to see a problem here.

0nly 0.1% of the world's water is accessable to humans. the majority of water is salt water or polluted so horribly that it isn't usable.
80% of disease in developing countries comes from polluted water. this results in 25 million deaths per year world wide and 1000 deaths/ yr in the US
it is estimated that 2/3 of the worlds population will be living in water stressed conditions due to freshwater shortages.
just look at what is happening to Chad and the Aral Sea. they're shrinking because humans are diverting the water for other uses. if we're not careful, this may happen to all of our fresh water.
i suggest that everyone who can takes an environmental science class.i didn't know any of this before i started mine.

WATER! I think we can all agree that it is, without a doubt, important.
BUT the U.N. warns that by 2025, two-thirds of the world’s population – more than five billion people– will lack access to water thanks to many contributing factors such as pollution and overuse.
A very large reason for the water crisis is bottled water. 74% of americans drink bottled water, but I feel it's very ridiculous indeed. It's esentiallly TAP WATER (the same stuff out of your faucet at home) that has been put in plastic bottles and sold for a price. In fact, bottled water costs more per gallon than the gas for your car. In 2005, consumers spent $100 billion on bottled water. Even further, more than 4 BILLION pounds of plastic bottles end up in landfills each year.
I encourage you to learn more! That way, we can tackle the world's problem's together. Use your voice, tell me what you think.

There has also been a lot of discussion on the issue of private companies running public water systems. This may be one of the big issues in the next few years (especially if the prices for water significantly rise).

Definitely we have to work for clean water. The matter of water trading is also important.
