To take a simple example again.......
I never litter....i always use the dustbin ....
I can always throw things wherever i want since there is nobody to keep a watch on me but i dont do it ....because I dont like the consequences of my action....I am not refering to global warming etc but the simple fact that it makes the place dirty ...and we have to walk through the same place again the next day !!!!
But i see people around me litter all the time....its disgusting to see people throw the wrappers, plastic bags and half eaten food on the roads ...
and then I always wish someone was their to punish them for their careless acts ...and now if there was a fine in place for those who litter .... this thing would not happen
the only other option left to me is an endless wait in the hope that such people become enlightened enough to realise their mistake ! sigh !!!

Okay, I think you pretty much owned me in your last post. Very well done!
I completely agree with you about the littering and that there will be an ignorance in others that is always with us. Still Im not sure that that is the place for the government to streamline a policy.
still, to argue with myself, I also belive that ignorace is no excuse for the law.
Some people may be ignorant to the idea that murder is wrong. However, social law dictates otherwise and for a good reason.
youve given me a few things to chew on and believe, I will!
not that this is a competition, but we should always be challenging each other.

Thanks for you comments ...all your comments ....especially the challenging ones.... since it motivates me to think and write too ...
And of course TIG Discussion board is not about any competition...we are all here to explore new perspectives .... and learn ... and perhaps to unlearn somethings...
Cheers

I dont plan to do much unlearning as I have very little respect for the "new learning"....but who knows...I always surprise myself with how versitile I am.

i find that global warming is tarting to affect peple more and more as we are taking advantage of electricity, maybe they should limit the amount each family can use of fossil fuel. (also depends on size of family) and maYBE THEY CAN BE FINED IF THEY GO OVER THE AMOUNT

Umm, there is another act I ought to inform you all of: according to George Monbiot's "Heat", he makes it clear that if Global Warming reaches or exceeds an increase of 2 degrees celsius a year, watch out, because at this point, the trees and soil (which have absorbed CO2 for 100's of years) will switch from absorbing CO2 to EMITTING CO2.
Umm, does this guy have an understanding of how photosynthesis works? I'm betting he doesn't. Take a biology course.
