It's weird how it is. The boys seem to hang around boys and girls hang around girls. It seems to me is that there is the force that separates boys and girls. In gym class, the boys would never pass it to the girls. Also, if a boy hangs around a girl, people would say you like that girl or not. I think because of the "likes" issues, boys and girls try to stay away from each other. Also, I like hockey. How is it so surprising that a girl likes hockey? Hockey isn't only a sport for guys to like.Whats that about?

Whenever i am in Gym class i am never passed the ball in games just because im a girl. The guys all pass the ball to eachother and the girls are left hanging there doing nothing. I dont see so much sexism in other classes but Phys Ed for sure

I know wut u mean shannon! (considering I'm in ur class and all) But u forgot to mention how in every other class, the people are ditinctly divided. Ya know how in core, the girls are on one side of the room while the guys are on the other? Weird and unecessary. Then again, the guys in our class think I'm a total freak so it's no wonder they would sctter away from me lolz

I think that we will always see the gender descrimination in gym class, because if the guys never pass us girls the ball then how will they know what we are capable of? I dont really see the seperation between guys and girls any more. I mean everyone has their seperate (girls with girls/ guys with guys) clique, but i see alot of mixing, and not much of the "oh ____ likes ____" any more, hopefully by 13 most people have grown out of that 'cooties' stage. So there still is gender discrimintaion, but I think as we get older we will slowly grow out of it.

There is gender descrimination. After a month of research,I found out that there is gender descrimination in classes. Especialy Gym.(I WONDER WHY)Anyway, I notice that everybody chose their own gender as partners in classes. Therefore the TEACHER got to put us in group.Ouch...and i can tell you that the group the teacher put you in isn't ALWAYS great. And I got to admit, sometime i'm been sexism too.Oh well, alot of my bad habit NEVER change, but I hope someday I will treaat people who aare opposite gender better. Whenever that YEAR will be.

It's not always because boys don't want to give the ball to girls or vice versa.Sometimes it also happens because maybe a girl feels uneasy to work with a boy or sometimes both boys and girls are afraid to be teased by the other.
If you notice, you'll see that if the number of girls in a group is less than boys, they are either teased or aren't "allowed" to mix with the boys(I'm not pointing fingers) Same goes to the opposite. To me, it is never easy for a girl, religious or just not familiar to be with boys,to mix in a group of boys.Same goes for a boy.
And as someone told about F/S,It's pretty obvious cause it's girl stuff.I think you should have researched in D/T too(that's boy stuff) You should see how girls who can't get machines started(or the common one<got> are treated!!!
