Hollywood on the side of terrorists?

In trying to find a 'new slant' Hollywood incessantly throws out what is 'right'.
Who ever heard of being sympathetic to a suicidal bomber? Well Syriana made it look perfectly normal and acceptable.
What happened to plain old black and white. What is right is right and what is wrong is wrong. Sometimes I wonder who is directing these films. Some of them seem to have been directed by terrorists themselves.
What do YOU think is happening in Hollywood regarding the 'right' portrayal?

First of all, most of the world is grey area. And it is important to hear both sides of every story. I don't think these movies you speak of are around to promote or glamourize terrorism, they are created to make you think...and thats a good thing, right?

I totally agree with you about the movies being created to make you think. Like Plato, Socrates, Aristotle, all their dialogues have 'layers' to them. It isn't just the words being said but the effect they have on you and the effect they have on your brain.
But what effect is Hollywood having on the public?
If the world is a grey area than how can one define right from wrong?
How can right or wrong truly be relative?

What I think is that while the display of the causes that drive someone to commit a suicide attack is important to understand the circumstances shaping this sort of mentality, I fully contend that this display should not be taken as a justification for killing innocent people.
There will be always this difference between understanding and justification of a particular action.

I think that went out the window when we started thinking for ourselves
These films, as it's already been mentioned are designed to make us ask questions, to show us that our view isn't always the right one.
I think you are right to want films to never glamourize terrorism, actions that deliberately cause death and suffering shouldn't be seen as the 'right' thing to do.
But I personally want films to make me think, even if it makes me uncomfortable in deciding what's right or wrong.
