i think dat child labour isn't a good thing, it isn't far how hard those children have to work and earn such a low sallery. And it also isn't far because since they work for the entire day, they don't have time to go to school. Which will limit their opportunities in the future when they get older, because the company is going to fire them and hire more younger children. And the company comes to other companies and sells their product, and it is usually very expensive.

Of course we all know that child labour is wrong. Child labor is exploitation. These children deserve to be sitting in schools, getting an education. I think that it is sad that these children need to work to bring home money for food and shelter. Unless the developed countries of the world will do something to help these people, I think it will be a giant circle and the people wont have a chance to improve themselves.

Child labour = Stupidity

I think child labour is wrong because children as young as 3 are forced to work because there parents are ineed of money and they need money. It is as if these kids are working without getting payed because the work long hours only to earn next to nothing.
The thing that makes me mad is that number of these children die due to the execive amount of work ther are forced to do at such a young age. These children should be in school learning making a better future for themselves, instead of being slaves to stupid companies - Gap
All I have to say now is the thought child labour makes me sick

I think that child labour is wrong because they have to do all the work. They are like slaves to people and why do they have to do all the work. Maybe they don't know how to be happy and play like all the kids. THIS IS WRONG!!!

I think that child labour is wrong because people can work for themself. Children have a future ahead of them let them have their fun and let them study. If those children work thier future will be ruined. The future generation will be more stupid, if their is child labour. Children should have an eduction after they're done their education they can be workers. If they work now then there future is ruined beacuse they will be eventually be fired. ONE PERSON ALONE CAN MAKE A DIFFRENCE BE THAT ONE.

I feel that child labour is wrong because what did those children do that would make them deserving of slavery?

Since it seems we all agree that child labour is wrong, why do you think it happens? Say a child grows up in an environment that doesn't offer schools, or a safe place to play. The world has over 200 million child labourers, and yet we apprently seem to let it continue. What can we do to stop it? If we do stop child labour, how can we assure the families where these youth are living that they will be supported. One thing I have realised is how easy it is to judge people according to our situation and then demand changes. But do we ever take time to ask ourselves some of the simplest questions, like if we stop this what effect does it have on the life of the person we want to help? I wonder if there will be any people willing to support the families of the children who work right now.
I agree that child labour is very very wrong, but I also think we should not only recorgnise the wrongness of other peoples situation and ignore the core reasons for that wrongness. Shouldn't we be pushing for big companies to build schools, hosiptals and better shelter...rather than just agree that child labout is wrong and should be stopped. What next after it has been stopped?
Kanka, you should realise that at times children are not sent to work by thier parents solely for the greed of money. No sane parent would intently harm their child, or put them in harm. At times we have to realise what the need for that money is, its not to go watch moives, or buy bacon...but to be able to afford at the least one meal a day. If the children where to stop, who will put that meal for them? Child labour is wrong I agree but those who advocate and rightfully denounce child labourers should be able to follow up on the situation after the terrible abuse has been eradicated.

Reggie, your response was extremely thoughtful and intense. You have been able to imagine yourself in the position of these children and you have imagined how hard it can be for them.
I feel that you are correct in saying, we can't only recognize the wrongness, but we need to pull together to change the wrongness to make things right.
These people don't have a choice about going to work. They obviously cannot afford an education, let alone have enough money to feed their families. If they don't take action to provide for themselves, who will?
Us, as people who are fortunate and relatively well off, should work together to help support these people, instead of just sitting by and complaining about how wrong things are.

Child Labour is wrong. These children don't have to work. They are young so they have many things to do in life. For example; go to school, get an education, then get a job. This children don't have to do work, and get abused there as well. You see, they are just kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
