saddam was shown in pictures with underwear while washing his clothes! how photos came out? no satisfactory answers.
after he was hung, video came out, broadcasted on TVs all over the world! people danced and greeted each other.
dont u think it is the message by USA to all the arab dictators, that "respect us or be ready for washing your clothes, the world will see u in underwear, and with a rope in your nick"!

Whoa.....i didn't know that. That is crazy stuff. That is a bad message the U.S. is sending not only to Arab dictators but to every government out there. Sometimes, the U.S. thinks it is too powerful...over every country but sometimes it needs a swift kick to regain our composure. I do live in the U.S. and don't agree with our government at times, especially with things like this!

Ain't Bush a dictator too? He tells the world, "What I say, should be done." Even if he knows many people and countries are against his meddling in the middle east, still he is there, meddling still.

No, I don't think the message was meant to be a threat to other Middle Eastern leaders. I think the message was rather that the United States is losing control of the situation. The trial of Saddam Hussein was meant to be a symbol of the new rule of Law in a democratic Iraq. But instead it became disordered and rife with sectarian conflict (it was a miniature Iraq). Instead of an orderly trial followed by an orderly execution of the legal sentance, a disastrous and incorrectly abbreviated trial gave way to a sudden and messy execution. The United States could not even keep the execution secure enough to prevent it from being filmed and broadcast to the entire world.

Yes it is a clear message to all the Arab leaders: : "Be obedient or be ready to be humiliated"
Saddam was the last Arab leader to face the US oppression and arrogance regardless of what we might think about him.
