A QUESTION FOR JESUS
January 8, 2007 - 06:11 AM
|
|
If you actually met Jesus face to face in the flesh - I mean a real live meeting man to man - and you were allowed to ask just ONE question (a question that has always puzzled you about Truth / the Way / Spirituality / etc.) what would that question be?

Firstly, there is now much controversy as to the personality of the Jesus and what/who exactly he was (but no question about him being a historic personage).
Recent research (read for example a chapter in the book of Peter Watson - "history of ideas" and references therein) suggested that Jesus became "famous" by a fortuitous chain of "lucky" coincidences. Another theory suggests that he was an apocalyptic whose theories were much contested (and downplayed) at the time but which nonetheless led to much controversy, noise and ultimately popularity.
The one obvious question to ask him in case of a personal encounter would be would he behave the way he did if he knew how this world would change as a result of his doctrines.
I am sure one can ask a rather more clever and not so obvious question, which might have as well led Jesus to change his mind drastically and thus to change certain (or many or all) aspects of Christianity as we see it now.

If I was face to face, I think that I would want to be able to give a hug, or at the time, if a woman could not touch a man in that way, find some other way to show that i cared. ( like pouring oil on his feet and giving him a foot massage)
i would ask him why evil people are allowed to hurt the innocent for so long, while pretending to be rabbis, priests, judges, etc. and if the ones i love, and myself will ever have a normal life.
nice question. *

Well I don't know wether you'll accept my answer to this post or not but for me I don't have a specific question like the others because I believe that what I know about prophet Jesus(PBUH) makes sense and is satisfying to me but if I am able to meet him(PBUH) oneday I would like to try to thank him(PBUH) for all the good things he(PBUH) has done and for all of what he (PBUH) went through to deliver his message and try to make the world be a better place

I'll ask, "What were you doing in your youth?"
If we remember, there was a big gap in the bible--he was lost at the age of 6 or so and then he came back at the age of 30 and died at the age of 33. I was wondering, what happened to him right after he left his parents and went back to them. I'm really curious.

I will plead Master Jesus to come back again in flesh to have long walk with me as He is now in spirit.
Or do you think they will nail Him on the cross again??

How does he feel about evil being done in his name when not representing his teachings at all?

Colom all prophets including Jesus(PBUH) are innocent from the evil that is being done in their names or even anything wrong because they (PBUTA) came to teach us everything that is good but we were the ones who lost the way from the right path

The question will be asked to jesus (PBUH) in the last day after he will come to save the last beleivers
this is the meaning of the verse mentioned in QuraanSurah Al-Ma'idah
Ayah [116]
And (remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection): "O 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: 'Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allah?' " He will say: "Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my innerself though I do not know what is in Yours, truly, You, only You, are the AllKnower of all that is hidden and unseen.
I will ask him to tell me what he said to people to defind the vergin (his mother who was promised by Allah to enter Jannah (paradise)
can any one tell us the story of his birth?
salam (peace)

If I was to meet Jessus face to face while walking down Yonge Street. The one question I would like to ask is;
Can I have your autograph? (j.k.)
Seriously, why did your father drown the whole world in a flood and not just the bad people who disrespected him or her?
Being the Almighty (and I'm not trying to make light of him or her) couldn't he or she have plucked the bad ones and toss them aside like spoiled fruit?
