Teachers having more stress
March 27, 2003 - 11:29 AM

As a fact, the reason why everyone goes to school is because they want to get educated and get a good career in their upcoming future. Teachers are hired to teach us all the material we need in order apply and get the ability to look for a better job. Organizing and planning schedules for us is what a teacher does on a daily basis. They have put in a lot of effort to teach us what we need to learn about in the future society. Taking up their own time and marking all our assignments are what teachers do all the time. They take their time and energy to teach us what we need to know.

Therefore, I conclude that teachers have more stress then students.

School - for a better future!!
March 28, 2003 - 08:43 AM

Although many of you (including myself) don't like waking up to school and doing daily assignments, school is very important for all of us!! Not only that you learn basic, IMPORTANT knowlage such as math, english, history, science (etc.) but it prepares you better for the future. Teachers (at least mine) teach us to be more orginized and thoughtful - things that are neccessary in anything you do in life.

So next time you think about how school sucks, try looking at the goods side as well!!

Thanx

Teachers may have alot of planning, but they already have a career - students are working towards getting a job / higher education, and it is stressful for them because they don't know what the future holds... so my vote is for students smile

depends on stress about what

teachers have stress about school work and their families and blabla.

students have stress about school work and future and blabla

but if its only about acedemic, school work then geeeze of course students have more stress!!

by the way, teacher shouldnt be teaching us but should guide, help us to learn. They are learners too arent they?

Teachers might have a lot of stress, but it doesn't matter. The students have a lot of stress because they have to think about the future, their jobs, and how one test, or asignment would bring down their whole average. Teachers already have a decent job, to teach the children, which they picked to do so. So they shouldn't complain. Students on the other hand don't have a choice weither or not to go to school. They have to for their future.

umm.... thats a hard one. Im not pretty sure about that one. Who has more stress teachers or students? Teachers have to plan for what to teach everyday. They also have to take up their own time to help us mark our homework and tests everday or most of the time.

Whereas students have to study hard in school. Study for up coming tests, and do homework. They have to listen in class and understand what have been taught on that day. We're the one who has to study and review our homework. Students always has to think about their future, and how they have to really study hard in school. I dontb really know who has more stress. To me it kind of even out.

I would agree that we can all take our formal education for granted, and somethimes this means that students begin to expect teachers to, in a way, implant all this knowledge in to their brains. I guess it's just important for the student to realise that the teachers' role is only to provide a source of information and assist with processing this information- it is up to the student however, to decide what to get out of this.
It is therefore much more stressful for the teachers to live up to impossibly high expectations of students!

I think us students do go through alot of stress in school. But i do not think it is fair to say we have more or less stress than teachers because we are not in their position.
