I am totally ignorant for those who are sayin for peace. What actaly peace is? Those who are saying for peace are really working to estabish peace in the world? I hope you people give me good comment on this. If you know plz write.

From the word of God, peace means SHALOM which means calm quite etc, and for peace to be, everything invloves must reach a compromise, a point of agreement to move on one directions.

What does peace mean? Peace means freedom from war..or the time when a conflict comes to an end..Tranquility..a calm and quiet state..being free from disturbance and noise, being in a state of mental calm and serenity, and harmony which means freedom from disagreement among people or groups of people..I believe we all hope and pray for peace whatever the circumstances and wherever we are..salam

Peace is the harmonious state of the spirit and the body of the individual and community in an environment that is politically, economically, socially, and earthly good and beautiful. It means more than the absence of warfare or even the absence of physical violence. To ensure community and family health, conflicts must be managed or transformed; if they are repressed they will eventually explode violently.
An agreement or a treaty to end hostilities.
Freedom from quarrels and disagreement; harmonious relations: roommates living in peace with each other.
Lasting peace includes the components that prevent conflicts such as sustainable development, justice, democratic participation, and conflict transformation.

Peace is a state of mind, country or world in which it is free from violence, violation, curruption. Peace is when you are able to pursue your own happiness and not face problems or when the people of the world can communicate freely and people can pursue their happiness. Also, as someone said, peace int he world is also econimical and political.

whenever a US national with his camera in hand came to afghanistan, and an afghan on a bank of river invited him to have lunch with him, and they had thier lunch togather. and then an afghan went to USA without any fear of being called alqaeda, means THE WORLD IS IN PEACE.
so, when hatred ends, love is on its peak, and humans are friends, all the humans are in peace.
now, although some people are in peace, enjoying thier life, some others are in a state of war! who knows how many innocent people are killed, since u started reading this post!
hope for a peaceful world
