Do you think that people might look at you differently?

Yes. Even though we are in such an educated world and you think the mother would know better. Many people will percieve you as being "easy, loose" or just plain stupid for getting yourself in such a dire situation.

The UK is one of the countries with the highest number of teenage pregnancies..This clearly indicates that we ..as in schools, health authorities and parents.. are failing to educate young people about sexual health.. I may be old fashioned..but what happened to No sex before marriage? From a religious point of view..this is the only option! Quite right too!

Really if teeneage pregnancies are high in Uk, then what will happen somewhere like Morovia? Guess what rape is and how war can increase teenage pregnancies.
What if the girl has no other choice than to fall pery to that soilder pointing gun at her, do you think she can save her life or avoid teenage pregnancy in this case?
No sex before marriage is very nice and ofcourse the best, but what if other enavitable conditions like persuations or hunger leads a girl to this act?
I think we must face look into the things that can cause a teenage to engage in ealier pregnancy; such as war, hardship, disobedient, ignorance and illitracy etc.

Of course people look at you differently. Two of my friends from high school got pregnant during high school. Before this no one knew who they were but then it was like whoa did u hear about "blah" and "blah, blah" they are so easy and yeah they are pregnant now. It happens, some things go wrong during the process but even being pregnant at such a young age, i look at them with the utmost respect for going through with the pregnany when lots of people now a days have abortions. For that i respect that they deal with the consequence of their actions and keep the baby, even though unplanned, equally loved by everyone.

Even though there are so many campaigns about sexual health and pregnancy and STD protection, it seems that so many teens as well as the older people are failing to hear them or take them seriously.
Many of them are like.....i don't want to hear about it, please stop talking about it.....I just can't figure out what needs to be done for things to be heard.....
My country is pretty open-minded but still I am not sure that teen mothers are appreciated

There are so many reasons why pregnancy at a very young age happens. In some places in the Philippines, children as young as 13 years old are forced to marry an old guy so that the parents will no longer be responsible for them. This is mostly true for very poor families.
In the cities, teenage pregnancies happen because of lack of proper sex education.
And of course, rape is also one of the reasons why early pregnancy happens.
And I agree, even if we are very educated, we cannot help but "criticise," however subtle, the teen moms. But we forget that the teen moms are not the only ones responsible for their pregnancy. There is a stigma attached to the young moms but young dads get away with criticism. It sometimes become their gauge as to who is the more "macho" or has more sex appeal to women.

Teen pregnancy, when not in the context of rape, conflict, or early marriage, is often tied to cultural norms. It may be that the girls' mothers also were teenage mothers. There have been countless studies that show how modeling affects social behaviors. If the only thing that you see around you are young mothers, you are more likely to do the same.
Some teens actively choose to become pregnant to have someone in their lives to care for and someone who loves them unconditionally, not thinking of the huge impact that having a child has on one's live. This motivation speaks to the lack of emotional connection that feel with the people closest to them in life. Other teen pregnancies are born of the lack of economic opportunities in a community. Having children is a way to find comfort in a life vocation when a job can not fill that role. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vanessa Mason

for this era....there is no WEIRD again to see Teen Pregnacy.
THis cases increase amazingly and being famous.
I just feel so pity with this things.
They should get helper for this pregnancy but sometimes they choose the simple way by abortion (that maybe kill them)
