CALL 911! EMERGENCY!

Hi everyone!
I have been conserned about our environment since the age of 5, but I have never been as worried as I am today! The winter here in Scandinavia is the warmest ever, they say. We don't have any snow and winter clothes are not yet needed, and we live in Scandinavia! The spring is starting to come back to us - in December! It's horrible! What worries me the most is that people don't seem to realize that it's up to each of us to do what we can, to recycle, to not waste electricity and to not use the car when we're able to take our bicycle and even walk! We have to do somethin NOW; our planet is dying, our animals are disappearing and we're making it impossible for ourselves and the next generations to live here on this beautiful eart that has been given to us, but which we now are destroying!

On 17 Novermber 2006, UN held conference on climate changes in Nairobi Kanya.
Below was a remarkable comment from Conference President Kibwana, he said. "Let us now use the momentum of this conference to carry this spirit forward and jointly undertake the kind of concerted action we need for humankind to have a future on this planet."
Hi Linzo, let's hope and pray things will be better in future.

Dear Linzo, I hear you loud and clear! I am trying to walk to school everyday instead of using a car. In summer I ride my bike to school. It is 0 degrees centigrade right now here in Hokkaido. There is ice and snow everywhere. I have bought a warm face mask and a nice winter coat. My wife doesn't understand me, though. She wants me to drive her everywhere in the car. She feels cold all the time inside our house and sets the oil heater to high. I turn it down to low. She turns it up...and so on. Our house has heat-saving windows and I try to keep closed all the doors to rooms that aren't being used. I am always turning out lights in rooms that aren't being used. My wife says I am wasting electricty writing this forum post. She is right. What are all other people in TakingItGlobal doing to save energy?
