Meaning"Food Shortage"

A worldwide survey was conducted by the UN. The only question asked was:
"Would you please give your honest opinion about solutions to the food shortage in the rest of the world?"
The survey was a huge failure,
In Africa they didn't know what '*food*' meant,
In India they didn't know what '*honest*' meant,
In Europe they didn't know what '*shortage*' meant,
In China they didn't know what '*opinion*' meant,
In the Middle East they didn't know what '*solution*'
meant,
In South America they didn't know what '*please*'
meant,
And in the USA they didn't know what '*the rest of the
world*' meant!

I am quite impressed with the salient issues that surveys being conducted by the UN miss, which have been thus revealed. If what i read here is true (and I have no information that suggests otherwise) then the world is in crisis.
I think all the so called GOALS like MDGs and DEVELOPMENT PLANS are misconstrued from region to region.
I mean, if all the above are true, how then do you want to tell me that the so called Millenium Development Goals (MDGs) mean to Africans, Asians and Europeans? It then means that MDGs mean different things to different people and we are only fooling ourselves that some are half way to achieving it while some of us have not yet started.
Further, could some one then tell me what POVERTY means to Americans and Europeans because it is what the MDGs target to eradicate, principally! If food shortage is not understood, what more of POVERTY??
Why?? Because in my "opinion" MDGs are about "food" Shortages and other problems and "honesty" of leaders to help to "find solutions" to them "please" in "the rest of the world". See my point, it is all about what different people missed their meanings!

Infact the survey sounds funny and if really is how people understood this matter from our different locations, it then means a "diffcuilt task" to solve within UN because people in different location are ofcourse viewing and understanding food shortage differently. Then we see the need to know and feel exactly the same way when there is food shortage in any location of the world. I'm believing that if any part of the world or country going through food shrtage will authomatically affect others direct or indirect.

Obviously the first post was a joke. In the joke each nationality/ethnic group was stereotyped: Africans have the reputation of being hungry; Europeans, being wealthy; South Americans, being rude; Americans, being ignorant of the world around them; etc. Such jokes are funny, but usually are insulting to the people targeted. I noticed Pakistan was left off the list of deficient countries, while India was characterized as being dishonest. There is another saying: "Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones!"
