A Hungry man is an angry man, and angry man is unreasonable man, unreasonable man is violent man"

Learning to contribute in our own little way in a bid to eradicate hunger aroundthe world will help immensely in feeding hungry people. Because the last thing we want is to allow a hungry man to become violent and unreasonable.
Let us continue to admonish our leaders , that violence of an angry nation can only be simmered down if they learn to provide for their nations.
Providing job opportunities, education and security are all part of the necessary provisions a government can provide for its people. For it said "that it is better to teach a man how to fish than to give him fish'

This is one of the big problem that quite a lot of people are facing now. The worst part is that the great percentage of Africa folks suffer this predicament. That's why brain drain is happenning in Africa whereby Africa has one of the largest teams contributing to the world economy.

Everybody knows Phillip Emeagwali,Wole Soyinka etc just to name a few out ofthe numerous Africa contributing to the growth of global economy and development. In takingitglobal everybody must work hard so that those people suffering from stravation will not be all dead.

Africa has enormous reserves of resources even today (after centuries of colonial exploatation by non-africans). Those can keep you going for decades, even a century or two... But as you know.. Time for a change is exactly when u r doing best wink

1. After you get into process of industialisation you wont have real problems with resources, that is.

2. You will eventually have to think up what to do after u pass industrial era (modern times)

3. There is actually enough resources (yes, even food, water wood and so..) for each and every african,... if u only knew how to organize things better.

BOTTOMLINE:

It is organisation that can either push u forward or let u bite some dust as a society.

P.S.: Always learn from the best, trying to copy their solutions(organisational) and adapt them to ur environment.

An unreasonable man is a violent man and can make more people hungry and angry. This man can be living in a white palace and eating all the best food ever cooked. He commands his army to ruin the things that are precious to the natives of the land.

Yes, it is true that we have enough resources in Africa. In fact, Nigeria is the 8th largest oil exporter in the world and the PPP is only $1,000 a year. Many families thrive on much less. Some of these people do not owe it to their laziness....They in fact work very hard - as much as 80-hour weeks. The problem is corruption, which has eaten its way into the conscience of our leaders. So much that one person alone is living on about 150 people's income. The rich are obscenely rich and the poor are disgracefully poor.

We have relied on the government for years and it hasn't helped. Which is the way forward?

Unfortunately, poverty and hunger is themotehr of crime.
strongly believe that having access to a minimumstandard level of food and income is the right of everrybody to make a living.

I didn't know about Nijeria being such a big oil exporter.
It's so sad to know despite so many great resources, people live in poverty and hunger.sad

Benchmarking and learning from otehrs' experiences and success stories can be very helpful.smile
