Running time for Saddam( the begining of the end)
March 21, 2003 - 10:55 AM

|
The war might just be over. The Iraqi's are realizing now that how wrong they were at the first place to help Saddam and actually lead on the war. Iraqi's can't take it no more because thousands of Iraqi's have died and some are injured. Most of the missils that were fired by Iraq killed teir own people. Now the Iraqi people are all so mad that the were hitting and ripping of Saddam Hussein's posters from almost every wall in Baghdad. The Iraqi soldiers are thinking of hlping US get Saddam so they can live in peace.
It's running time for Saddam now..... no one 's goin to help him no... and lets c where he hides now......

I doubt that will happen

I serouisly doubt that that would happen. If the Iraqi's had hated Saddam Hussien all along, they should have evacuated the city during George Bush's 48 hour deadline. But they didnt, they stayed there, they knew that the US were capable of mass destruction, but they didn't leave. And this war began 72 hours ago, most of the people could have surrenedered by now, but only some have. I think that in the end Saddam will be killed by bombs. Thats when the peace will come........

Peace can never come through war! War only brings hatred! This I know! There may be pretend peace, but it wouldnt be real! The murder of someone, anyone, would not bring peace! I dont know why I think like this, but i do.

they didn't stay because they loved Saddam - they love Baghdad, their home. The city is 5000 years old - their roots go deep. We are hurling missils at it. They see their homeland being destroyed, not the Saddam

I think alot of Iraqis would be much happier without Saddam... he isn't exactly a calm, progressive force in the government now is he. I doubt that most Iraqis would be dismayed if he were gone, but the added damage to infrastructure is a blow that is going to be very difficult to recoup.

what do they really feel?

hey Mik why do u think Iraquis would be happier without Sadam? Becuz that what you heard and read from media?Have you heard Iraqis themselves saying so?
I doubt it.
Hey Luke, but Do Iraquis sincerely love Sadam?
I donno.
one think i am confident is Iraquis love Baghdah, loved their homes and families.
They may not love Sadam but they prefer him than Bush.
Or they may love Sadam even though his regime is tough and cruel in the western view. But they prefer this kind of toughness than being controlled by a new kind of colonisation.
There can be many assumptions. But assumptions are assumptions. They can be right or wrong.
How can we know if which is right or which is wrong?
aww too bad theres only one Iraqi on Tig and no post.
Theres some Iraquis views on the guardian.Check it out.
Still i m hungry for something more insightful and some truth.

I don't think the Iraqi soldiers will take revenge on Saddam. Some soldiers know it's just a matter of time before the Americans and Britains sooner or later bomb, shoot, whoever is guarding Saddam. And will Saddam run? I doubt it, as long as he has troops, he is going to use then to defend him, where he is going to hide? Anywhere he wants really, all his buildings will be destroyed so he's gotta hide somewhere.

SADDAM: SILENT BUT WAITING TO STRIKE!
March 25, 2003 - 11:04 AM

This war is seriously going to get out of hand soon. Russia almost had the idea of supplying iraq with there weapons. Lukily the us had a talk wit dem and got dem to stop. Everyone thinks that USA is going to win with their eyes closed but i don't think that this is the case. Saddam has sed in the videos that he will get us. Just this tuesday they had found that a hospital in iraq was holding alot of iraqi soldiers. They were in half civilian and half military clothing they had GAS MASKS ON!!! The US had found this facility and had captured them lukily. They say that the troops were loading their ammo and getting things ready for a full out attack on the US. BUT Y WERE THEY WEARING GAS MASKS? COULD THEY BE GETTING READY TO USE THE CHEMICAL MISSILES? COULD THIS BE A SIGN THAT SADDAM IS GETTING READY TO ATTACK? GUESS WE'LL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE!

All the Iraq's wren't on Saddam's side. And even if they all are right now there is nothing that they can do about it. Thewar between Iraq and America isn't about the number of people on which side. It is about showing which country is more powerful. (Weither it be Iraq with the missile or USA with their strong devences.) Whos saddam kidding he can't defeat the US, thats almost like impossible.
This war isn't going to end very soon, even though we want to. And we have to face the fact.

angel...
i don't even know how you can justify that iraqi's may like saddam...have you talked to any iraqi's lately? seems to me that the general consensius of those i've spoken to about him is disgusted and enrage. you are right in saying that perhaps iraqi's are would rather not have an american occupation of the territory, but i think you (and everyone else) should listen to this, if you want a real primary source on iraqi opinions....

The real question is not whether or not the Iraqi people love Sadaam, it is whether or not any given nation has the right to tell another nation who should govern them and why. The world needs to realise that in order to have human rights be made universal, be enoforced universally, we need to start thinking that no one nation has more knowledge or power than another and that we are all inhabitants of one earth and as such we should respect our planet, our borders and our governments. The US has staged an illegal war with only suspected accusations of Sadaam and his ownership of WMD. This is not enough cause to destroy a country. Hasn't the world had enough death to last until the next millenium?
