*tsk tsk* The United States are BAD!! Does war really resolve everything? Or does it only bring bloodshed and misery to the innocent? If Iraq is not provoked, what would happen? Nothing. So why is the US doing this???

Hope hes' alive at least

But some anti war activists from other countries have been in Iraq these days.Found some of their diaries here :

some more link on how we can be of some help :

any more links?

Last night, i watched the news on Vietnam Tv whose sources were French and Ap and REauter and CNN blabla and it showed images of Iraqis getting back to their normal life after the bomb. Fewere people on the streets, selling and buying stuff in the markets still happen like everyday, people gathered at shops drinking wine and listening to Sadan speech, etc, to show that they are still ok and was not defeated by the war coliation.

Now watching CNN, the galleries showed pictures of Iraqis with white flags.

Awww media buzzz!

But i think even if Iraqis trying to show they are not defeated, they must be undergone a extremely terrible and stressful time.

and most of all they NEED HELP!

Today on TV a reporter in Montreal spoke with a freelance reporter who was in Iraq. She was observing that the people in Iraq are taking things pretty well because they're used to the bombing... but it seems like they weren't completely psychologically scarred. I wonder if it's true that most Iraqis want to overthrow Hussein - I wouldn't be surprised, but there's no way to get official facts on that.

She was also saying that she could be victim of a bombing at any minute so the reporters there were just trying to stay out of the way - I think one reporter has already been killed. She visited a hospital where there were about 50 people injured by explosions, people who lived close to the buildings which were bombed. I think more US and British soldiers have died so far then Iraqis, but it remains to be seen if the civilian casualties won't increase... depends on the scale of military action in the next few days.

War Is Actually Helping Saddam
March 22, 2003 - 06:35 AM

Saddam built the missles that he claims that "he doesn't have" for the purpose of hurting people. Even though those missles aren't actually hurting people, others are. People are still getting hurt whether or not Saddam was involved. The americans are just lauching missles at Iraq for the purpose of driving Saddam out, all they are accomlishing so far is just hurting innoccent people. Most of the people in Iraq have surrenendered because they know that its a war they can't win. So saddam will be the only person left in Iraq!

We really can't say
March 24, 2003 - 10:29 AM

We really can't say how the conditions are there, people like you and I have never experienced a real war. We can't actually say that we have experienced it, but since we have seen those sick images on T.V, we can automatically assume its absoulte terror for the Iraqis

Obviously life is harder there, from what I have heard, you can feel the vibrations of bombs dropping from far distances. So of course the Iraqi citizens cannot live their lives, also, CNN reported civilians trying to just stay alive was taken hostage because the Americans did say "We will take every measure to ensure the safety of Iraqi citizens." Obviously the Iraqi government has taken advantage to that.

I really don't know anymore....
April 3, 2003 - 10:17 AM

I used to think that the US was wrong in waging war on Iraq. Now, I'm not that sure anymore. I know it's horrible and everything, but I now wonder how many more people would die if the United States didn't do something. 12 years ago, Iraq, led by Saddam Huissein or however his name is spelt, invaded Iran and tried to take over. The US came and tried to help Iran. Iraq was beaten into retreat. Even so, Saddam decided to fire missiles over at Isreal, killing many, and destroying a lot of it. Was that not evil? USA decided to spare Saddam on the condition that he get rid of his 'weapons' and the US were to check on him once and awhile. Saddam had agreed. He was spared, but did he keep his promise? No way. He refused to be inspected by the Americans, and has still hidden his 'weapons' somewhere. He now says he's going to use the weapons against us. Not only that, Iraq is not a very poor country. It is simply that the government is selfish, and covets their wealth - not using it to help the citizens. I suppose the US is simply trying to better the lives of citizens? I suppose this war is waged to pass a helping hand out to the needy, and overthrow that evil Saddam? If Saddam were to change his behaviour, he would have done so earlier. He had twelve years - not exactly little. Yes, war is an extremely terrible thing, but is there really another way? Maybe there is, maybe there is not. I know only one side of the story, so I cannot make a decision right here and now. No matter the reason, the longer the war is, the more who suffers. May a ray of hope reach the Iraqi people, may Saddam be caught, and may the war end soon.

The reason why Iraq bombed Isreal was because Isreal was a friend of the US. Isreal had not done anything wrong to Iraq - it is simply because since Saddam could not bomb the overly powerful US, then he would bomb their friend, just for the sake of payback. Is that not shameful? Is that not terrible? Yes, many innocent people die of war in Iraq, but how many more will die of starvation?

Okay, nevermind. It's back to the "no-more-war" thing for me. Too many people are suffering because this stupid thing taking place in Iraq. Hate to hear of families being blasted apart - utterly terrible. Well, I do hope the USA stops this war sometime soon - isn't Saddam already driven out? How many more people do they need to track down before this is all over?

Everyone is saying how horrible the people of the United States are but i conquer. It is the citizens of the country, but the leaders that started it, both in United States and Iraq. People don't talk about all the war protests goig on in America, but only the fact that they are involved in the war. And what about Tony Blair? He is also one of the owrld leaders who is involved in the whole situation and also has people fighting in the war in Iraq! So don't frame the the Americans and say they are suvh a bad country when they are really a land of freedom and opportunity!

W were not framing the USA citizens, we were saying how power-hungry the US government was... Not all its citizens. The country itself would be nice. But things like war... Well, I don't really know what to say. Last I heard was that the US troops were unable to find any of the "weapons" that Saddam Hussein was supposed to have hidden. I don't know if that has changed yet, since I wasn't exactly paying attention to the news all week, so yeah ...
