Regarding the discussion forum, most of the posting and debates are under peace and conflict? Does it mean that most of the youth are interest in the issue of war and politics? If we look the other real issues like Poverty, Education, which are the root cause of the all problem, there are less discussion. Are we just thinking on broader issues?

In my opinion discussions happen on all the boards .... the number of inputs on each of the boards are quite similar ....the only difference is that peace and conflict & culture and identity see more passionate discussions .
well the issues of Peace and conflict are the most hyped in the media. Most people are influenced by the propangandist articles and reports on such issues ..
hence it is very important to get more information so that youth today have a broader vision.
...Young people usually dont get to raise their voice on these issues ...but here we have an open platform where people from around the world can openly discuss these problems.
also unless there is peace , issues like environment and education hardly come into picture....For many people survival is not something that can be taken for granted ...
Although poverty , lack of awareness and education are the things that abet such conflicts ....yet power politics play a major role in creating such conflicts ...which is why it is important to have these discussions to spread more awareness through a healthy exchange of views !
Moreover , I think it is the only board where
the participants can be the best of friends in person even while disagreeing with each other on all major issues
The same is true with Culture and Identity.
Cheers,
Anu
