Forest Ethics
November 13, 2006 - 07:32 AM

In the present day, the issue has been raised about the multidimensional function of the forest i.e. ecology, economy and society. What do you think about the forest ethics?

esp. check the The diagram that shows changes in wood volume in the world's most forest-rich nations between 1990-2005

yeah! forest ethics.
This one thing taht has eluded mankind since the word development croped in our minds. It seems that when we embraced development, we through out all our forest ethics through the window.W hy am I saying this? well TAKE AN EXAMPLE, WHY SHOULD WE OPT TO CLEAR ALL OUR FORESTS IN THE NAME OF DEVELOPMENT? No one should deny this fact, we are our own enemies when it comes to forest management.

Slashing down forests is a bad investment. There are people who get defensive about this issue, seeing it as impractical tree-huggers versus their own pragmatic selves. That is not really the case. A sustainable forestry programme is to everyone's benefit.

A sustainable forestry programme is definately to all of our benefit! The relationship between mankind and all plant life is a give-give one. They give us the oxgen we give them the Carbon monoxide. The problem is that at the moment because of all the pollution in the world were giving them absolutely too much CO, and if we continue to cut them down they wont be able to produce any more oxygen to give to us.

You can't be more clear than that.Put simply, event the most "ignorant" person will understand your argument. So lets get down to earth and spread the GOSPEL of FOREST CONSERVATION.Right?
