I think one of the best ways to understand the world around us is to see and experience it. Sharing the culture of another person through a study or volunteer abroad experience will help to strengthen our ability to communicate with each other. As a teacher, I have been involved in taking students on overseas programs with a number of organizations and this has lead me to work with a team of people to create a directory for Canadian high school students looking for a variety of international learning opportunities.
