What's up with the chat room? I remember that at some point it did actually work, even though no one went there. Now you click on a link and a window pops up with a animated graphic telling you that it's loading. That's all there is, a page with a picture on it!!! It doesn't load anything!
So, I'm just wondering if there is anyway to get a different chat room going.

I am looking at a really good company who makes chat room software -- I will put up a test board tommorow night so we can test it and make sure everyone can use it!! (especially for the Cultural Diversity chats coming up this week!)

Please try this out and post here letting us know if there are any problems. If everyone loves it we'll buy it and use it!

(UPDATE: We bought the software -- it seems to work great for most people now!)

what happened to the other chat software, I liked that one. where you can change the language and stuff. This one is good too but I liked that language feature.

other software

Yes, it was cool that it had translation, but there were three major problems:
1) Many people in developing countries with older PCs and slower connections had problems with it -- it wouldn't load or work with their browsers
2) We couldn't keep transcripts of chats to share with others -- there was no way to log / record what happened in a chat.
3) We couldn't moderate the room, have profanity filters, or kick people out who were causing problems.

Theres only one chat room! Theres barely any users online. Every time we type something it says tig and theres no need since only the people with tig can only get into the chat room. Other wise i think itz cool.

yoni: make sure java is enabled and that you also have a decent browser. My guess though is that your Java is not enabled...

The chat works great! Now maybe if we had an "invite user to chat" function..
Messages work just as well of course, but it's all about the gadgets lol

I am unsure what browser you use... but I am a huge Mac nerd (ahem) and it seems to work for me using both Safari and IE. I am using 10.2.5 (Safari Beta 2 and IE 5.2)
Please post more info, since I would certainly want to make sure compatibilites across all platforms (expecially Mac!)
