China, China, China....
I have absolutely no doubt that China will be one of the most important and dominating countries on this planet. It's power will not stretch out only over south-east Asia but over the Middle East, Africa and even Latin America. China will grow the largest economy and will set the leading pace towards military, political, economical, diplomatical and social standards.
China has for long been a sleeping giant, but this giant is awake today and gaining 10% strength every year.
Behold!!!

China is already a power to consider with, as it was during the beginning of 15th century and even before that.
And China will grow enough to rival the US in economic and military power, which it already does.
P.S. I am moving this thread to the Culture and Identity where it fits more.

From what I've read in the mainstream news about China's development, generally a very positivist (the idea that things only get better and better e.g. the poor will always become richer as a nation develops) perspective is adopted.
What doesn't get covered so much are the incredible social and environmental costs it takes to develop a nation into a thriving capitalist market. It's not a simple story of lifting an entire population out of poverty which is often, the impression I perceive from the news.

Definitely China is blooming. But I am wonder that first tell us what you think about China's future as you are citizen of China? Do you think China could continue its speed or even increase in future?
