World Food Day - what are u doing?

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations celebrates World Food Day each year on 16 October, the day on which the Organization was founded in 1945. The World Food Day and TeleFood theme for 2006 is "Investing in agriculture for food security".
World Food Day (WFD) was established by FAO's Member Countries at the Organization's Twentieth General Conference in November 1979. The date chosen - 16 October - is the anniversary of FAO.
It has since been observed every year in more than 150 countries.

what does one do as a third world national other than to wake up on that day, like every other day, sit and sulk over the poverty situation of one's country, the imposibility of achieving the millenium development goals by 2015 as far as hunger issue is concerned and probably ask FAO to try and do more?
I think alot has been said already about what needs to be done. Exept to post reminders, one just hopes that all those who ought to do something are listening and acting, otherwise MDGs may well be considered a global coalition of "white elephant projects" supported overwhelmingly by UN, and it would be right to celebate as such on FAO's anniversary.
