There seems to be an accepted thinking that globalization and economics only benefit developed nations. However, there certainly are negative effects in developed nations like the one I live in (Canada).
The most major negative change to me was the loss of job stability, and the rise of contingent labour due to market changes and outsourcing labour. Of course, finding employment in Canada is nowhere near as difficult as other nations so I don't want to give the wrong impression. However, you do see many middle class, highly educated, overqualified people, esp young people, working in jobs with low stability, low pay, low/no benefits, low upward mobility etc.
Spread of disease is another thing developed nations will experience. Toronto was a part of the SARS scare a few years back and although nowhere near as dramatic as the press made it out to be, it's still an example of how quickly a potential outbreak could spread globally.
These are just a couple examples. Naomi Klein lists a bunch of other problems in her book No Logo.

it's eating our culture.
I live in Lebanon... a magnificent country that managed through everything to keep an open face to the changing culture (the Western) and to hang on to its roots...
i know that chains such as Mc Donald's Burger King, KFC, Friday's, Miss selfridge and so on have created tonnes of jobs and pushed the economy to bloom, we are unfortunately losing our identity to the flow and we are losing our own interests to the world without getting anything in return.....
which is unfair

You can assess the effect of globalization everywhere. There are developed countries, called as core, whose economic is strong having multinational companies, and other countries depends on those developed countries called periphery. For instance, developing nations are periphery of those core countries and alwys depends on them. While capital city of the developing countires act as periphery, other city and villages are the periphery of the periphery, which are controlled by the capital.
Now, you can analyze that how the developing nations (periphery) are controlled on those core area and the situation of the periphery of the periphery. In those periphery of the periphery, they are losing their originality i.e. thier products can't compete with the products of multinational companies, culture is affected and high competition of labor, which consequences low labor rate.
Just a small example of Coca cola, you can imagine the effect of globalization, how Coke is replacing the curd and other milk products in village......
