what is the story behind your nickname?

Hello all...what is the story behind your nicknames? nosey i know but i saw a lot of nick names here and some of them are wierd, or things that really i dont think about when it comes to making a nickname, or simple but i always wondered why?
for example my nickname here froot!
I took it from a juice bottle was beside me when i made my proflie , i didt want to think and i was in a hurry so i took it, i didnt even like the juice * so what is the reason behind yours?! plzzzz
oh one more thing, in the discussion board i didnt know under what category should i put this thread why isnt there one just for fun or stupid threads like mine!

Assalamu aleikom!
It's not necessary that the names some of us show here on TIG are the true nicknames used by people whom they know to call them.
For example, my username here is aymanelhakea, it's just my name and family name.
But in real life, I have been called with a kaleidoscope of nicknames throughout my life.
Mino, Ems, Monti, are derivation of Ayman in Egyptian slang Arabic.
My display name الوعد الصادق
is not a nickname, it's just means: The Trustworthy Promise.

Habooshte nice question really 
well most of the times or even u can say that all the time I call myself Desert Rose I use this nickname every where even in the school jackets if u remember  , and my display name is Batoola because my name is Batool

ارغب ان اكتب وجه نظر بعض الاصدقاء من هذا الرمز وجوابي لهم :
1- DNA هو اختصار لاسمك الثلاثي............. قلت لهم نعم انه رمز لاسمي الثلاثي وهو ضياء ناجي العلي وهذا يعني اني احد اطفال ناجي العلي وهذا يعني ايضا اني احمل بعضا من افكاره واحب فلسطين والرسم مثله تماما واسعى الى ما كان يسعى
2-DNA هو رمز الحمض النووي المختص بنقل الجينات الوراثية ................ قلت لهم نعم انه مختص بنقل الجينات الوراثية ولكنه ليس حمضا نوويا وليست جينات تنتقل عن طريق تلقيح الحيوان المنوي للبويضة وانما عن طريق الكتب والثقافة والعلم التي يورثها الكاتب او العالم للجيل اللاحق فتتولد فيه الافكار والطموحات ناجي العلي من اهم الكٌتاب الذين اثروا بي .

OK, I hope the following translation makes sense b/c it was done by Google:

My nickname 'Rerenga' means 'flight' in Maori. So I'm 'taking flight, taking it global' here on TIG!
I also consider it to be the shorter version of 'Rerengatahi' which can be broken up like this:
'Rere-ngatahi' - Fly together
'Rerenga-tahi' - Flight alone / One flight
So, depending on what kind of thinking-mood I'm in is what the meaning behind my nickname means.

I think the stories are much the same for most people. Some stupid, some weird and some, well... just a name in haste.
I was looking for a way to shorten my full name, which is MOhammed ALEEyu PAIKO without loosing any of the three completely for my email ID. So, I took bits and pieces from the three names as shown in capitals and came up with MOLEEPAIKO, simple. Stupid, some may think but hey,I like it!
