help please

I'm planning to start a club at my high school to raise awareness of the MDGs and such. I was thinking that maybe we could raise money to buy school supplies and other necessities to donate to communities and schools in impoverished countries. However, I haven't the faintest idea where to start donating or supporting. Any suggestions, comments, or anything could help! thanks =]

I think supporting UN Agencies that do direct relief work is a good start. The WFP is one example:

If you actually want to donate 'stuff' that you collect it might be more complicated because shipping costs a lot - but I would talk to your local World Vision or Oxfam office!
