Global Youth Fund's This I Believe essay project

Greetings everyone!
Think about the last moment you were brought to think about your core values, beliefs, your philosophies on life that guide you through your journies.
That moment may have been a week ago, yesterday, or may even be right now.
If you had the opportunity to begin your thought with "This I Believe...", what would you say?
Global Youth Fund invites youth (ages 13-25) to submit a short essay on what you care about the most- what beliefs are most important to you.
We also encourage youth to write about the global challenges that we face (i.e. extreme poverty, AIDS, sustainability, war) and the solutions you believe will help us through them.
This essay project marks the official start of Global Youth Fund's revolutionary effort to create the world's first democratic fund, giving young global citizens a forum to set collective priorities and achieve common goals.
If you are interested in learning more about Global Youth Fund's "This I Believe" essay project, join us at http://projects.takingitglobal.org/gyfbelieve.
And to submit an essay and learn more about Global Youth Fund, we welcome you to our website, www.globalyouthfund.org.
Thanks for your time, and we look forward to reading your essay!
"You are not here merely to make a living. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand."
Woodrow Wilson

We invite you to read the submitted essays as well and subscribe to the RSS feed so that you continue to get them.
Even before we have officially pubicized our project, we already have three powerful essays - from Romania, USA, and the Philippines.

We'd love to see yours.
