OXFAM CHange Leadership

what do you get when you put a bunch of people in the same room who are socially minded and acitve? an amazing surge of empowerment and ideas.
Web communities are amazing for connection and communication, but it was really nice to have the opportunity to meet a diverse group of like minded individuals in the flesh this past weekend at the OXFAM CHANGE Leadership initiative in Toronto.
I'm looking for the CHANGE leaders, and hope that we can continue the efforts that began with such passion and positivity and work towards growing them into world wide epidemics of humanity.

For Sure Kelly,
To make those really tight connections in real life, and being able to maintain them this way, is just freakin' cool - not to mention damn effective and motivating.
I hope I see other CHANGE Leaders adding to this discussion.
Chad!

Hey folks,
I'm still loving co-ops here in Saskatchewan and I definitely feel energized by our time together. It was definitely a very positive and encouraging experience for me since I live in a community filled with predominantly apathetic or socially conservative people.
I've learned lots from this experience and I'm planning on doing some professional development workshops for some fellow Education students regarding some of the issues Oxfam deals with. I'm also still in the process of trying to get an Oxfam campus group together here at the UofR. And Chad, I'm still working towards that Tides of Hunger project so don't worry.
As for anyone else, I'm here if you'd like to bounce ideas off each other or just wanna chat. Take care and keep on rockin in the free world!
In co-operation and solidarity,
Ben

Hi CHANGE Leaders! I'm so gald we all had the opportunity to get together in Toronto like that! What a truly motivating experience! I've been having a blast on campus this first week back, trying to motivate others to help me rebuld our Oxfam club on Western's campus and it got me to thinking... Can people who belong to or lead well established clubs, or clubs which are highly motivated please share any tid bits and advice about how you keep the group together and having fun? I'm in desperate need of guidance on hosting our first club meeting coming up at the end of the month. Anyone with any campus club experience have any suggestions for a format for a first meeting? Help is much appreciated for those of us who are building from scratch! Thanks.
