Goal

hey friends ...each of us have our dreams and plans for future ..
.though some of us say that we are just taking life as it comes yet there is a part of us which wants to achieve something in life ....some of us want to get a job , some might want to get married to their sweetheart , some might want to build a home ,....etc...
Where( not just the place ) do you see yourself ten years from now ???
where do you want yourself to be ten years from now ???
Do you think with the current scenario you will achieve your goal ???
what are the major obstacles between you and your dream ?
Cheers,
Anu

ok, as to answer ur questions:
I haven't planned yet what I wanna be when I grow up, all that I know is that I wanna help ppl and end their suffer.
I have thought of being a doctor and the option is still on but I'm scared of seeing blood or cuts and the most freaky part is being responsible for some1's death, I know that doctors do all they can but I blame myself for everything and I couldn't live with such a burden and I can't see any1 die in front of me.
I thought of becoming a journolist and that option is still on but I dunno about that...
but I guess I have time to think about ti....

Goal-it really amke sone think about one's life and whether the life is on right track or not.
Being educate dnad woeking ,ican at least think of my life's goal. What about those living in abject poverty in Africa, or those living in hardships in countriles like Afganistan. What must be their goals? or do they think on thses lines.

well it is something doctors have to learn to live with...it is a tough job and very very demanding physically as well as mentally ...
There are various ways one can help people ...one can start with people one knows or meets daily or occasionally...then can carry on from there ....everything just needs a beginnning and determination to carry it through....
Journalism is something i also considered and still is on the table ( freelancing) . It is also a good option !
all the best for whatever you decide !
have to run now ! urgent call !

well poverty or hardships might put lot of hurdles but it necessarily doesnt deter people from having goals in life...everybody has a vision and has goals to realise that vision ...it is true that they might not have clear cut idea as to how to go about it but still some sort of a dream is always there !
There are also people who just think of the making through/surviving the next day but they also might have a dream to get out of the morass !

I know that doctors need to get over that and try to find a way that they can by it survive, but I don't think I can do that, and being a doctor is such a big dream and I really wanna become one so maybe I'll figure out sumthin.
as for journilist: it's good but the prob here in the middle east it doesn't have a future, not that I wanna work here -I WANNA GO TO AFRICA- but I'll start here and the option is still open but I dunno.
I think I have enough time to think and I think after being in my senior year the thing that I wanna do in my life will pop just like that.
one of my theories in life is: THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHAT I WANNA DO AND WHAT UM GONNA DO" I mean I wanna become an actress but it's not gonna happen...

May all yr dreams come true !!!
hmm abt the journalism option ...dont be so pessimistic ...its tough there but instead of one step you might be able to take only half a step at a time ...but when you succeed after such an effort the joy will also be multiplied ...
WHen we put more effort and face more challenges to achieve something ...our happiness quotient also increases proportionately

I know more about what I don't want to do than what i do want to do; I don't want to have to survive or make money off of writing, which is the thing closest to my heart, and I don't want to end up in some strictly desk-job, and I don't want to serve food to screaming children.
I have not yet decided what to call the occupation I want. I want to teach, and learn, and explore, and create. I'd really love it to be on a project to project basis, if I could manage to support myself through that. If there were a job description simply stating 'Problem Solver,' That's what I'd want to do.

you could work with TIG
or you could select the NGO of your choice and start with volunteering for a particular project esp one invloving teaching and then later get a job in the same!
