Not able to edit event

I created an event yesterday and it is available to the public, however it shows as "pending" under Home-My Organizations-The Hunger Project-Upcoming Events. I am not able to edit this event either.

Events as with all content on the site usually take a few days to be reviewed and either approved or deleted. I assume by now knowever that it has been approved.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this.

Hi Hugh,
Nope. this event has been pending for two weeks and neither the original author/poster nor myself (we're both listing managers of the associated organization) can edit or delete it. Who is charged with reviewing and approving such content? If, as I fear, it is the listing manager of the organization, how do we do that?
Alternatively, could this problem be related to the fact that the event contact is not a TIG user, specifically not the original author/poster?
Thanks, ...Murray

hmmm... odd.
I just went though pending events and couldn't find any related to THP. Could you give me the event ID or name so that I can look it up?
When posting an event, anyone can do it, but only the listing managers of the organization that it is submitted under (if any) can edit it.
This seems to be an isolated event, so lets track down the problem

Sure. Despite it's supposed pending status, it is published at: http://events.takingitglobal.org/10625

This is getting stranger :P
I just checked the event and it is indeed approved, so I don't quite understand what is going on here. I am going to login and take a look... just a second
Ahhh.... now I see what the problem is! This is a feature that I don't think we ever finished adding in. Will try to fix it all now

Okay, so I semi fixed it.
1. Now it links to the event
2. The status now appears correctly.
3. You can't edit the event or delete it yourself
So, please email memberservices@takaingitglobal.org and let them know what change you'd like them to be able to make. Or if it's quick, I can update it myself too.
Sorry for all of that.

Thanks, Hugh.
1) Do you know what was the cause of this problem so we can avoid it happening again?
2) Who is supposed to approve such postings? What is the workfow and the criteria? Is there an appeal process?
Regards, ...Murray

Hi Murray.
1) Do you know what was the cause of this problem so we can avoid it happening again?
--> The feature hadn't been designed or coded yet.. it was always going to display pending. I went ahead and fixed it so that it displays the corrent status and links to the event itself.
2) Who is supposed to approve such postings? What is the workfow and the criteria? Is there an appeal process?
--> Our staff are responsible for this and the content is usually reviewed within 24-48 hours. The criteria are basically that it has a youth theme or somehow can include youth or even helps others understand youth better or whatnot. There isn't really an appeal process, but basically we don't delete events unless they appear fake or fraudlent, don't have youth related to the event in some way or isn't in the spirit that TIG embodies... basically things that a regular user shouldn't be concerned about in any way.
