it is a cool feature!
i even appeared on it once: http://webcast.un.org/ramgen/ga/60/ga051005.rm" at about 1:13:00... this is a webcast from the informal, interactive roundtable discussion on the theme “Young People: Making Commitments Matter”, which took place on October 5 last year.
if you go and watch that, you'll see that someone put a note on the desk while i was speaking; it said i had to slow down, which me off a bit, and seemed a bit silly because the chair kept stressing that people should make their contributions quickly!
there is a similar service available for people to see what's going on in the UK parliament - www.parliamentlive.tv/ - but nothing is happening at the moment, since all the MPs are on holiday!

Can UN resolution end crisis in Middle East?
Will agreement between US and France on UN resolution bring peace between Israel and Hezbollah?
As fighting continues, UN Security Council members are gathering in New York for more talks on the resolution aimed at stopping the conflict.
But the Lebanese government has criticised a draft UN resolution for failing to call for an immediate ceasefire.
Security Council members are expected to discuss possible changes to the draft document to take account of Lebanese objections.
Will the resolution bring an end to violence and a lasting peace? What do you make of Lebanese objections? Are you in the affected areas?

Lebbanon made a significant offer today - sending 15,000 troops to the South.
This is a positive development potentially because the Israelis will not leave a vaccum for Hezbullah to redeploy into.
Lebbanon clearly should have done this before - but provided that these troops have the right rules of enguagement to work with so they can physically stop Hezbullah from attacking if need be.
Israel will not let Iran and Syria resupply Hezbullah - which is why they are aprehensive of cease-fire and will only accept a cease-fire uder certain terms.
this commitment of troops by the Lebbanese is a major step in the right direction toward creating terms the Israelis can accept and the rest of the West can get behind.
